Journal of Indo-Pacific Affairs Volume 7 Number 6, September-October 2024: "South Pacific Nations’ Absorptive Capacity for Air-advising Missions" by Paul Bowes, Dr. Cristian Birzer, Jacinta Carroll, and Dr. Vincent Daria Read: https://ow.ly/mkIB50U67cy Full Journal: https://ow.ly/3ITC50U67cE In recent years, South Pacific leaders have advocated a “zone of peace” for the region, with their national security forces focusing on civil security to protect exclusive economic zones, conduct outreach, perform aeromedical evacuations, and deliver humanitarian aid. However, protecting a vast archipelago requires air capabilities that can reach remote islands quickly and are protected against threats. #IndoPacific #JIPA #AUPress #AirUniversity #greatpowercompetition #deterrence #defense #Austrailia #NationalSecurity #Security #USPolicy #China #USMilitary #Policy
