2024 in review: Our sustainability highlights

We caught up with our sustainability team to reflect on the progress we've made this year. From making our packaging more sustainable and driving the transition to renewable electricity, to supporting our local communities, it's been a busy year.

Check out some 2024 highlights from the team and read some of our stories from across the business below.

There is lots more to do in 2025 - see you then!

"Supporting our local communities is something that is very important to us, and through our Support My Cause initiative our employees are able to nominate local charities to receive a donation from the business. We’re working with some truly amazing organisations across our markets that are having a positive impact on people and communities. It’s been great to shine a spotlight on some of these - and you can see more on what we’re doing in Indonesia to protect the natural environment in Bali through our work with Malu Dong here ⬇️" -- Joe Franses

“A big highlight for me this year was attending New York Climate Week for the first time. It was an opportunity to meet other corporate leaders and NGOs to collaborate and share ideas on how we can continue to accelerate climate action, and tackle key topics like protecting biodiversity and nature, climate finance and ESG reporting. You can see more about what I got up to, and why it was an important part of the work we are doing on sustainability at CCEP here ⬇️" -- Megan Mitrevski Dale

“We are working on some impactful projects across our markets to protect watersheds, and this year I was fortunate to visit our Our Misión Posible project in the Andalucia region of Spain. We’re working on a water replenishment project there that is improving the state of wetlands, supporting biodiversity and preventing nature loss. We are also supporting local citrus farmers in the region to help them manage and reduce their water usage. Seeing this work in action underlines how important is to protect and treat water with the care is deserves. While I was there I was part of a film we made to highlight all this great work, take a look below. ⬇️” -- Francesca O'Hanlon, PhD
