5 years… Where has the time gone since I joined HS2?! 5 years of highs, lows and everything in between. Working on HS2 has been a rollercoaster to say the least. Reflecting on my time so far, I’ve come an immensely long way, from joining with no Project management knowledge to now leading on several large scale projects. This initiative is dedicated to creating the skills that will empower the next generation to enter the industry and labour market with confidence and optimism. 🚆 The core objectives of the STAFFER project are: ✅ IDENTIFYING SKILLS NEEDS STAFFER continues to help operators, infrastructure managers, and suppliers anticipate the skills and competencies of tomorrow. ✅ ADAPTING CURRICULA Through its Blueprint for Skills, the STAFFER project is not just preparing for the future; it's shaping it. By designing new training curricula that complement existing programmes, we adapt to meet the challenges of tomorrow with confidence and security. ✅ FACILITATING TRANSNATIONAL MOBILITY STAFFER consortium’s work continues to allow the development of a framework facilitating transnational mobility, which refers to the ability of students, apprentices, trainees, or other staff groups in the rail industry to gain experience and knowledge in different countries, thereby fostering a more diverse and globally aware workforce. ✅ DEVELOPING A LONG-TERM STRATEGY STAFFER is not just a project; it's a commitment. This initiative, designed for the long haul, continues to unite the entire rail sector in developing a comprehensive, long-term action plan for skills.
