Professor Roberta Guerrina shares how her spinout company EQUAL In-sight works with employers to embed equality and inclusion in their practices and build a fairer future. EQUAL In-sight is a first for the @BristolUni – the first spinout company to come out of the social sciences, demonstrating the impact research from social sciences can have in the world. Roberta and her team work with organisations to identify the gaps in social networks, policy and governance that engrain inequalities. By identifying these gaps, their experts can use social science methods to interpret the systems that lead to issues like gender pay gaps and inequalities in progression, retention, promotion and training.
