The engineering spaces are a different story. But it is a good video for a bit of life on a sub.
Short but exciting experience 🫡
always had great respect for a bubblehead.....a special breed
The real life : no endless meetings, less paperwork, more action.
I agree! Volunteering for Submarines was best duty besides my first Command right out of Boot Camp onboard the USS Mt. Whitney (LCC-20) from 74-78. Subs were the way to go as a QM.
I like documentaries… but one documentary I saw made for the last tour of a British submarine leaked far too much information. It was enough to figure out they were escorting the weapons shipments from Benghazi to Turkey. With that information and a warning from the Turks in Benghazi of a pending attack… yea, someone was pissed because a shipment was lost. And with John McCain meeting with the ISIS terrorist group in Syria, and then the well funded uprising there… yea, I could see what was going on. Document… but don’t leak too much info. It doesn’t take much to add it to another leak… and then another leak… to then see the big picture.
They clearly didn’t have any nukes talk to the camera. And this boat is a palace compared to fast boat. Great video though.

7moGreat video, I’m sure a lot has changed since I did this in a different Navy but also great to see some things never do.
