You know those moments when you find out that a colleague has hidden talents? Well, I had an hour full of them! 🤯 At RadioWematch, our town hall meeting this week, I played this game (Yes, sometimes we play games) called “Talent Unmasked.” And it was MIND BLOWING. 👀 I asked the Wematch.live Team for any secret talents or quirks they were happy to share... Imagine this: We have an ex-DJ working with us.. Also one among us got a guitar pick from Prince himself. The Prince! 🎸👑 Apart from that we have got an opera singer 🎭, an amateur fisherman 🎣, and two people who sew their own clothes 🧵. Wait for it. We also have a colleague who speaks fluent Valyrian (Game of Thrones fans know what I’m talking about 🐉), a crochet magician 🧶, and even a guy who can take apart whole cars and rebuild them 🔧🚗. I mean…this is cool. We spend so much time around our colleagues but how often do we really get to know them on a personal level, particularly if they're across office locations (we have 5)? These hidden talents and quirks are what make us special. They’re the ones that bring in new ideas, different vantage points and the confidence to be heard at work. That’s why diversity, equity and inclusion MATTER at work (and I'm not just talking about quirks & hobbies). It’s more than just ☑️ boxes. It means creating a supportive place where people can be themselves 🌈 How well do you know your colleagues??? #EmbraceTheDifference #DiversityMatters #WorkplaceCulture #HiddenTalents #DEI #InclusiveWorkplace #TeamBuilding #LeadershipLessons #FinTech #WematchLive

Internal policies.....love 'em or hate 'em, we need 'em. Especially, in times of crisis. But we aren't robots, we are humans. One size doesn't fit all. After work with...Nishma Patel Robb: we discussed the need to treat employees like humans in times of crisis (PTSD, grief), as each team member will have very different needs based on specific, subjective circumstances. Every single internal policy should have some flex, so that each employee's needs can be met. 💕 You can't show you care by just following a document.💕 (see comments 👇🏼 to view Episode 19) During our After Work chitchat, we covered: ✨WACL and the power of a community. ✨PTSD in the workplace. ✨Grief policies. ✨ Using humour in times of stress or crisis. ✨Letting it go - how to release things that aren’t useful or helpful - they are holding you back. Over the next few weeks, Nish will be launching Glittersphere: a new community for women creators, founders, leaders, and investors. We can't wait to hear more about this incredible group and how we can get involved, to use positive community spirit to thrive. 🤩 If you're enjoying our After Work episodes, please do subscribe to our YouTube channel. It makes it all worthwhile to know you're enjoying our work 🤩 #femaleleadership #advertisinginterview #WACL #griefpolicies

Yes, we believe in the power of first-person narrative stories. But how exactly do these stories drive social change? Let's break it down: Personal Connection: First-person stories are deeply personal. They allow individuals to share their own experiences, emotions, and perspectives. This personal touch creates an immediate and powerful connection with those who watch or hear them, making the stories relatable and compelling. Empathy and Understanding: When people hear or read about someone's journey, it fosters empathy. They begin to see the world through someone else's eyes. This understanding can break down prejudices and encourage more compassionate viewpoints. Visibility and Voice: Many marginalized voices are often unheard. By equipping individuals to tell their own stories, we amplify these voices and bring attention to issues that may otherwise remain invisible. This increased visibility can lead to greater awareness and action. Inspiration for Action: First-person narratives can be incredibly inspiring. Hearing about someone's struggles and triumphs can motivate others to take action, whether supporting a cause, volunteering, or advocating for policy changes. At StoryCollab, we provide the tools and training for individuals and organizations to harness the power of storytelling. Sharing personal narratives can create a ripple effect of understanding, empathy, and action, leading to real social change. Visit storycollab.org to find out how we can help your organization make a difference through the power of stories. #StoryCollab #SocialChange #FirstPersonNarratives
