#Safety When the room you closed yourself in from the #domestic #abuser (and started making #calls for #help), is barged in by #Policemen (the ones you called during the #incident at #midnight but did not pick up the #emergency #call), you're are lifted and taken out from both your hands and legs WITHOUT the #presence of a #female #officer (in the #day), given forcefully a #tranquilizer (#injection) and later, that same fellow manages to send you to a #Psychiatric #Rehabilitation #Center (to a far #city from the #rural #town) where you're wrongfully treated for #Bipolar #Disorder without a #test, you do wonder: if only THE #PEOPLE around had said a "#No" at any of these #steps, had someone bothered to come out of the "#Mind my #business" #mentality, maybe if not the whole #ordeal, but at least the #intensity of the same, could have been reduced. Saddening more was to find when immediate #contacts (#adults) in a different #state (where I keep distance from the #Home currently) continued to #Mind their #business, when a #teaching #hospital kept me fasting for 20 hours as I was breathing #acid, for an investigative #procedure, only to be told later that they could not do it on the same day. This was in a #hospitalization. Done #twice in #two out of #three total Hospitalizations during my #university #time. When the #doctors came to an #emergency 4 hours later to attend me, because #ward patients had to be attended #first, #forced me to sign a #medical #legal #form without #reading it (in an #emergency), made sure to come back in the room and called me a "#Maniac" because I had #objected, (in my #UG), I did #question: What are the other #adults around me #doing?! Did they not know? I did tell them. For me, it turned out, they had to MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS. I am, to date, traumatized and processing, philosophizing how to keep my goodness and, with that, keep carrying on. #Lesson for me to take away? It does not matter what #labels and #professionals you're surrounded by, it is the #value of the #Human that ultimately defines them. To #stand up for #oneself and for someone else takes #Courage. When you don't do it, that also defines #You. Girls/Women's safety or Human safety, we may #call out on #enforcing #laws, #reforms. But #societies are made by #individuals. #Individuals who, over minding their own #business, better also mind their own #behaviour. Where to be #polite, where be #assertive and where be #defensive. Highly #important, in my #opinion. #values #individuals #humans #society #country #Girl #Woman #HumanRights #UttarPradesh #Karnataka #India #UnitedNations #HumanRightsWatch Although, #requesting you to mind your Business. I did reach out to #international bodies after experiencing perpetual #violations of my #Human #Rights like Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, when my own Country's #law and #enforcement started stalling my #plea for #help and #Justice. #Police #Lawyer #Journalist #Teacher #Doctor प्रज्ञा 🌹

"June 4th: Standing Up for Innocent Children Victimized by Aggression✍️💯 The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, observed on June 4th, serves as a reminder of the countless innocent children who have fallen victim to acts of aggression and violence around the world. It is a day to raise awareness and call for action to protect the rights and well-being of children, who are often the most vulnerable members of society. Despite the existence of laws and international conventions that aim to protect children from harm, there still seems to be a lack of strict action being taken against those who commit such heinous crimes. The question remains, where is the law in ensuring justice for these innocent victims? It is imperative that governments and authorities take immediate and decisive action in punishing those responsible for perpetrating violence against children and implementing effective measures to prevent such atrocities from occurring in the future.
