The Flatiron Center for Psychotherapy’s Post

When we’re less critical of our perceived flaws, it’s easier to take things in stride. We can acknowledge our mistakes and think constructively about how to work on them. Feeling ashamed, embarrassed, or even a little “stupid” at times is normal, but it’s important to cut ourselves some slack and strive to do better next time. We don’t have to be perfect. We can feel how we feel and don’t need to constantly “stay positive” or “believe in ourselves.” The path to feeling good about ourselves starts with being okay with ourselves. This shift in attitude makes a huge difference. We become less worried about how we look or come across and how everyone else sees us. By being less concerned with trying to feel a certain way, we can engage with the world as we are, leading to other rewards and a more fulfilling life. At the Flatiron Center for Psychotherapy, we help you embrace self-compassion and engage with the world authentically. Reach out today to start your journey towards a healthier self-perception. #FlatironCenter #Psychotherapy #SelfCompassion #MentalHealth #AuthenticLiving #SelfAcceptance https://lnkd.in/dq6ZXhbu
