It’s fascinating how often job postings from companies like Amazon , Apple , Microsoft , Google , and Walmart emphasize the need for 5+ years of experience. But let’s pause for a moment—sometimes a newbie with fresh ideas, unmatched enthusiasm, and adaptability can surpass even the most seasoned professionals. Why? They bring innovative approaches and aren't tied to "how things have always been done." They learn quickly, adapting to the latest tools and trends. Their hunger for growth drives performance beyond expectations. I’ve seen it firsthand—fresh talent stepping up, breaking barriers, and delivering results that make you rethink the whole “years of experience” requirement. Let’s give credit where it’s due and start valuing potential over just tenure. Let’s make space for the next generation of game-changers! 🚀 #Leadership #Innovation #FreshPerspective #TalentMatters #Fortune50 #JobSearch #Hiring #CareerGrowth #DiversityInExperience #Motivation

#JobLoss #TeenEmployment #CareerAdvice Hey everyone! So, I want to talk about something pretty tough that happened to me recently. I was working at Applebee's, and I got fired yesterday. 😞 Honestly, it feels like a huge blow, but I know it’s been building up for a while now. Let me explain a bit more. I was making mistakes left and right, and it turned out I didn’t even know some of them were issues until it was too late. I guess I just wasn't ready for the responsibilities, and I made decisions that weren't the best, leading to my boss—the person who originally hired me—deciding to let me go. Now that this has happened, I’m left wondering, what can I do next? Here are some of the things I’m thinking about: Reflect on the Experience: Mistakes happen; it’s part of growing up. Taking time to think about what went wrong can help me improve. 🤔 Learn from Feedback: Even if it stings, any feedback from my boss can be a goldmine for improvement. Was it a lack of training, or were there spec... What Should a 15-Year-Old Do After Getting Fired from Work? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gT8TM2Xh Let's Connect! Have you faced similar challenges? Top companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon know a secret: Skills can be taught, but drive can't be bought. Experience isn't everything in hiring. Most great workers started without the "required" skills. And the best hires often come from unexpected places. Here are 6 qualities that matter more than experience: 1️⃣ Learning Speed ↳ Pick up new skills faster than others. ↳ Turn challenges into growth chances. 2️⃣ Problem Solving ↳ Find creative ways around roadblocks. ↳ Think outside usual solutions. 3️⃣ Growth Mindset ↳ See feedback as a gift for improvement. ↳ Face challenges with curiosity. 4️⃣ Strong Work Ethic ↳ Show up ready to give their best. ↳ Push through tough situations. 5️⃣ Team Spirit ↳ Help others succeed without being asked. ↳ Share knowledge freely with coworkers. 6️⃣ Positive Attitude ↳ Bring energy to every task. ↳ Stay optimistic when things get hard. The truth is simple: great talent often lacks perfect resumes. Give someone a chance, they might become your best hire ever..!!

There are certain people you just know you’ll stay in touch with. Kristian Schwartz and I met back in 2018 when he reached out about a marketing role at Intel Corporation. (I think it’s safe to say that out loud now. 🙂) At the time, I had just joined a new team inside Qualcomm with a leader I adored, and I wanted to give it a real shot before considering a change. But during the few weeks we were in conversation, it became clear that Kristian was different from 99% of the executive recruiters I’d met before. Here’s what he was NOT: ❌ Transactional or uninterested in the nuances of my expertise. ❌ Overbearing and then radio silent. ❌ Busy and hurried, just checking boxes. Here’s what he IS: ❇️ Thoughtful and relationship-oriented. ❇️ Focused on bringing out the best in candidates. ❇️ Excited about those who see themselves as builders and keen to align them with roles where they will thrive. ❇️ Celebratory of cross-industry backgrounds (for me, that was: tech, CPG, and lifestyle brands) knowing that a smart marketer will contribute anywhere. And he gave me a gift that’s lasted for years: the “One Win of the Day” worksheet. It’s been a game-changer for me. If you want it, drop a YES in the comments, and I’ll share it with you. If you’re looking to hire a #Director, #VP, or #Executive leader and want a true partner, look no further than Kristian. He’s one of the best out there—genuinely thoughtful, skilled, and someone who elevates everyone he works with. #executiverecruiter #talent #leader #hiring

School’s Out For Summer! Usually, summertime is a challenge for me as a fully remote, working parent. The rest of the house is sleeping in, hanging out, staying up late….. and I’m working in my office. 😒 But THIS summer, I am #OpenToWork! 😊 Recently, my role was eliminated after a fulfilling three-and-a-half year journey transforming teams and driving customer advocacy to new heights at Juniper Networks.
