"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome." - Booker T. Washington Profound and authentic, our dear friend Jonathan Kennedy Sowah from our 2023 Beneficiary, InovTech STEM Center continues to inspire hundreds, if not thousands with his desire to open the doors of opportunity for hundreds of individuals who exist in a constant uphill battle to thrive, succeed, and learn. It is with great enthusiasm, we announce that we continue to support @Inovtech, and the Powered Girl Initiative. I only regret that I could not attend the event in person this year. Our flagship beneficiary, Inovtech will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Anyone can designate a donation to this school through our website by selecting "Designate to Inovtech" from the drop-down on our donation page. www.stemisforeveryone.orge. I encourage you to do so! This young school is making a tremendous impact in Ghana, with goals of expansion throughout West Africa.

Why I Started the Powered Girl Initiative. As I sit down to write this post, I'm filled with emotions and gratitude. I'm reminded of the incredible women who have shaped me into the person I am today. Growing up, I was raised by two of the strongest women I've ever known - my single mom and my grandmother. They instilled in me the values of resilience, hard work, and determination. Despite the challenges they faced, they never gave up on me or my dreams. As I grew older, I realized that I wasn't alone. There were many women around me who were breaking barriers, pushing boundaries, and achieving greatness. My teachers, mentors, and friends - all women who inspired me to be more, do more, and achieve more. But despite the progress we've made, I know that there are still many girls and women who lack access to opportunities, resources, and support. They face barriers that hinder their growth, silence their voices, and diminish their potential. That's why I started the Powered Girl initiative. I wanted to create a platform that empowers girls and women to unleash their potential, pursue their passions, and become the leaders they were born to be. It's a movement that's deeply personal to me, driven by my own experiences and the incredible women who have shaped my life. But it's also a movement that's bigger than me - it's about creating a world where every girl and woman has the opportunity to thrive, succeed, and make a difference. Powered Girl is an initiative by InovTech STEM Center Foundation aimed at grooming and equipping young girls with industry-relevant emerging digital, vocational, technical skills, and social skills to thrive in the real world. This program empowers young girls, particularly from underserved communities, to break barriers and excel in STEM fields, contributing to a diverse and inclusive future workforce. So let's join forces, shall we? Let's empower the girls and women around us to be their best selves. Let's create a world that's more just, equitable, and powered by the potential of women. To the amazing women who have been supporting our initiatives at InovTech STEM Center, I appreciate you! Janel Giarratano | Akosua - Ah ko sia A. | Richlyn S. | Hannah B.
