Can storytelling save our wetlands? Gab Mejia has exposed millions of people worldwide to the effects of the climate crisis on the Philippines' wetlands through storytelling. Rising carbon emissions, temperatures, and sea levels are increasing the intensity of typhoons in the Philippines, leaving devastation in their wake. Wetlands, with their atmospheric maintenance, are the key to managing these typhoons, but they must be protected. From droughts to super typhoons to illegal palm oil plantations, Gab has bravely released documentaries and written for publications on the devastating effects of the climate crisis on the Philippine wetlands, despite doing so endangering his own life.
