Cutting-edge technology is now being brought into football, and it's not just about improving the game. It's about inclusion. For years, people with hearing impairments have been unable to fully experience the roar of the crowd during a football match. But now, technology is changing that. With this innovative solution, their disability won't limit them when they watch their team play.
This same principle can be applied to care homes. Technology is all about enhancing people's lives and promoting inclusion. But most importantly, it's about giving control back to the individual. Unfortunately, many individuals in care homes have had control taken away from them through no fault of their own. But with the right technology, we can help them regain that control and live their lives to the full.
Speak to Spark Care today on how we show you this does not need to be expensive. www.spark-care.co.uk
Today, as we observe the 11th International Day of Sports for Peace and Development, we recognize the transformative power of sports in fostering a peaceful and inclusive society. On this significant day, I am excited to share with you an innovative technology that is revolutionizing the way deaf athletes engage with sports.
Ekhosport Technology is a groundbreaking invention, inspired by the founder's personal journey, designed to overcome communication barriers between deaf athletes and their coaches. This technology has been successfully implemented in various European nations and was notably utilized by Cameroon's deaf team during the Deaf World Cup in Malaysia.
The introduction of Ekhosport Technology has been a game-changer, providing deaf athletes with the means to receive real-time, accessible communication from their trainers. This not only enhances their training experience but also empowers them to perform at their best, fostering a sense of belonging and equality within the sports community. The benefits extend beyond the field, as it promotes social inclusion and underscores the value of diversity in sports.
As we celebrate the positive impact of sports, let's embrace technologies like Ekhosport that ensure every athlete, regardless of hearing ability, can share in the joy and camaraderie that sports bring.

In the evolving world of sports media, one thing has become clear: audio is an integral part of the way fans experience #rugbyleague. Whether it’s through live-match commentary, engaging discussions or player interviews, #audio has a unique ability to connect people to the game like never before.
Women’s rugby league trailblazer and Nine Audio commentator, Ruan Sims, and distinguished NRL figure and commentator on 2GB’s Continuous Call Team, Paul Gallen, give us an in-depth look at how audio is transforming the fan experience, shaping key conversations, and driving deeper engagement with rugby league. The Women's Premier League (WPL) is the Twenty20 (T20) cricket franchise league launched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in March 2020. BCCI already 'owns' another T20 league called the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Seeing how the WPL is an all-women league and IPL is an all-men league, the editor in me raises these author queries:
AQ1: Isn't the WPL Indian owned? Or is it that none of the players are Indian?
AQ2: Is there a possibility that the IPL has mixed-gender participation and not just men?
And, most importantly,
AQ3: Shouldn't IPL be renamed as MPL - Men's Premier League - for the sake of accuracy, consistency, and symmetry?
Why this difference? Why are the women called 'women' and the men called 'Indian'?

🏅 The Summer Olympics is slowly coming to an end!
💭 Have you ever wondered what it’s like for the athletes competing? While the decisions and regulations of sports governing bodies should protect the rights of athletes, this isn’t always guaranteed.
👉 To map the field of athletes' rights, we’re hosting a conference on October 23 with the Centre for Sport and Human Rights and HERO project EU. Join us in a critical discussion on how to protect the human rights of athletes and prevent rights violations.

The practice of sport is recognised as a human right in the Olympic Charter, to be enjoyed by all without discrimination of any kind, and the United Nations Human Rights Council has acknowledged the potential for sport to cultivate human rights, combat discrimination and contribute to sustainable development. The Paralympic Games play an important role in promoting human rights in sport via increasing the representation, diversity and inclusion of athletes with disabilities.
In this article, Partner and National Pro Bono Team Leader, Chris Owen and Associate, Summer Walker, explore the history and development of the Paralympic Games, the human rights framework which underpins it, as well as the challenging role of the International Paralympic Committee in balancing the right to inclusivity and participation with the need to protect athletes with disabilities from system exploitation.
