Recently our Rose colleagues were dancing the night away at our #SalsaNight! kick off event for Unidos, one of our newest ERGs💃✨ What better way to celebrate the rich and vibrant Latin culture than with great music, delicious food, and an unforgettable evening of salsa? A huge thank you to Unidos for organizing such an amazing night of celebration. We enjoyed taking salsa lessons, listening to live cuban music and sampling mouth-watering empanadas and arepas, while learning about the significance of Hispanic heritage and the powerful contributions of Latin communities. Let’s keep the rhythm going! Share your favorite salsa moves or cultural traditions in the comments. ¡Viva la cultura! 🎉🕺💫

I couldn't agree more with Tsufit ✭'s insights on the value of upselling! Her story about being invited to a Bachata class and ending up dancing around the world is a perfect example of how thoughtful upselling can enrich a client's experience. Not only do I think you could be doing your client a huge favor, I believe the only reason to sell anything is when you genuinly know your service is making a positive difference! Business with integrity starts with a plan for a mutually beneficial exchange of value, creating transactions that uplift everyone involved. With my newly launched True2Brand Accelerator, we engineer brand, marketing, and sales systems for companies seeking marketing with guaranteed ROI. As part of that, we identify opportunities for "upselling," which we call "the signature offer," to uncover untapped opportunities to provide better service. When businesses craft their offers with their clients' best interests at heart, they create the kind of magic Tsufit described—dancing the Bachata in Portugal and Israel at sunset! Thanks for sharing this wonderful example of selling with integrity and fostering mutually beneficial relationships. I love it! 💃🕺🌅 #Marketing #Sales #ROI #IntegrityInBusiness #ClientSuccess #Upselling #Branding #BusinessGrowth #CustomerJourney #RelationshipBuilding
Could you actually be doing your client a huge favor by UPSELLING?💃 So many of us feel squirmy about selling.😜 (Pls comment if this is yooooooo!!!) But I am grateful to Aleks Saiyan (Director of Toronto Dance Salsa) for upselling me. I had registered online for a 9 week Salsa course. The day before the first class, I get an email telling me that it's rare but right after the Salsa class, there's a Bachata class, back to back. Do I want to double my order and take Bachata as well? I did. Now I have danced Bachata in Portugal and in Israel and at sunset in Malaga, Spain on the ramp up to a castle with Carlos from Ecuador. (Pictured below.) A huge thrill---the view, the music, the audience of tourists that gathered to watch us, lol. And Bachata is my favorite dance now, although I am continuing to learn many more. So next time you are feeling squeamish about selling or upselling, remember, you could be changing your client's life for the better! ❤️👠💋💃💕 (Pls tag anyone who neeeeds to see this.)

Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) had several different names during its early years. From 1792-1797 it was called Newark, and during this time it was the first capital of Upper Canada. Due to the town’s proximity to Fort Niagara, across the river in the US, the capital was then moved to York (now Toronto). Many battles took place in the NOTL and the surrounding area during the War of 1812, during which the British and their First Nations allies fought to prevent American expansion into their territory. Fort George was occupied by American forces in 1813, and they burned the town when they left at the end of the year. A few buildings survived, and NOTL was rebuilt after the war. The layout of the Old Town is from that era, and many buildings on Queen Street and the blocks on either side of it have been preserved as homes and businesses. Once a farm town, NOTL’s rise as a cultural center began with the establishment of the Shaw Festival in 1962. It features plays by George Bernard Shaw, other playwrights of his era, and plays set in his era. NOTL is now home to many artists and hosts a variety of festivals from music to food, and of course the wine for which it has become famous. The rich soils of the Niagara region below the Escarpment have long been a fruit-growing area, and NOTL was no exception. Nowadays many of the orchards, which once produced large quantities of peaches, cherries, and plums, have been converted into vineyards for wine grapes. Since the 1970s, the quality of the wine has steadily improved with the introduction of grape varietals more suited to wine-making than eating. The microclimates of the Niagara Peninsula are influenced not only by soil differences, but also by elevation and breezes from Lake Ontario, leading to many distinct terroirs among the many wineries. All Hispanics/Latinos dance salsa? 💃 WRONG! It’s more like everyone wishes! - Reality Check! Not everyone is born with rhythm, okay? Some people avoid dance floors like they’re lava—seriously, don’t ask them to dance unless you want to witness an Olympic-level performance of the “awkward shuffle.” And let’s not forget the vast world of dance genres by Latin/Hispanic country: salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia—and for those who prefer to just vibe and sway, there’s reggaeton. Who knew a party could turn into a dance-off, right? Why a Hispanic Moderator in Market Research is Key: Having a Hispanic moderator is like adding the perfect seasoning to a dish. They bring cultural insights that help make sense of nuances that others might miss, ensuring that everyone feels heard and understood. They can connect with participants in a way that goes beyond the surface, making conversations richer and more productive. Plus, they know when to step in and steer the conversation back on track, much like breaking up a conga line gone rogue! 🎉 So let’s celebrate diversity—not just on the dance floor, but in market research too!

Often misunderstood and misrepresented, Cinco de Mayo holds significant historical and cultural importance beyond the margaritas and sombreros. Let's dive into some common misconceptions, do some myth-busting, and explore how to celebrate this day. Myth #1: One prevalent myth about Cinco de Mayo is that it signifies Mexico's Independence Day. However, it actually commemorates the Battle of Puebla in 1862, where Mexican forces achieved victory over the French army. Mexican Independence Day is celebrated on September 16th, marking the country's liberation from Spain in 1810. Myth #2: Another misconception is that Cinco de Mayo is a major holiday throughout Mexico. While significant, especially in Puebla where the battle occurred, it's not widely celebrated. In fact, it's not a national holiday in Mexico, and its observance varies regionally. Myth #3: Despite its reputation as a day of revelry, Cinco de Mayo is much more than just a party. It's a day to honor Mexican heritage, culture, and resilience, paying tribute to those who defended their country. Beyond the festivities, it's a reminder of the strength and spirit of the Mexican people. The best way to celebrate is by exploring Mexican cuisine, music, art, and literature, and most importantly, avoiding harmful stereotypes while honoring Mexican culture with authenticity. By honoring the true spirit of the holiday, we can foster greater understanding and unity across all communities. 🇲🇽 #CincoDeMayo #CulturalAppreciation 🌐 Here are a few ways to celebrate in the Bay Area from the Mercury News: https://lnkd.in/ghUxpYpi
