Leaders, when we actively include diverse voices, we open doors to new ideas, fresh perspectives, and transformative innovation. This National Inclusion Week, let’s think about how we can create more inclusive and psychologically safe spaces, not just for the sake of it, but to truly ignite progress. We've still a way to go. Inclusion is not just a principle—it's a leadership practice that transforms diversity into collective strength. When every voice is valued, true innovation and impact follow. #Leadership #NationalInclusionWeek #InnovativeLeadership

“Another standard is Workplace Culture Fosters Inclusion and Belonging for All. To help make this happen at your company, the standards recommend that (1) a formal anti-bias and anti-racism policy is adopted and operationalized (with key terms that hold everyone accountable), and (2) workers have access to an anonymous reporting and communication channel to raise issues. In addition, (3) businesses should co-create and codify cultural norms with the workforce that encourage equity, inclusion, and belonging, which can be assessed through (4) evaluating culture and engagement survey responses across demographic groups, (5) monitoring attrition rates across demographic groups, and (6) tracking workforce controversies, and how quickly and effectively they are addressed when they do occur.”

"Successful [board] diversity efforts begin with open conversations about who’s not being heard, and whether current leadership structures tend to silence particular voices. There’s no one right way to improve board diversity, but there’s a clear wrong one—avoiding a discussion about an organization’s blind spots."
