Today, on Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the ongoing fight for a more just and equitable society. As we reflect on the past, let's also look towards the future and how we can create opportunities for all. At Project Hire-Ed, we're committed to promoting diversity and equity in the workforce, and that includes our apprenticeship programs. Apprenticeships offer a fantastic pathway to skilled careers, providing valuable on-the-job training and experience without the burden of college debt. We recognize the need to break down barriers and ensure that everyone has the chance to succeed in these rewarding careers. By investing in equity within our apprenticeship programs, we're not just building a more diverse workforce – we're building a stronger future for our entire community.

I'm excited to share our latest fact sheet, which highlights the incredible work being done to expand opportunities for the Latino community through Registered Apprenticeship Programs! This document features an in-depth interview with Phyllis D. Higgins (Zurich North America), a trailblazer in apprenticeship programs since 2016. Discover how they've successfully engaged with these programs and the mutual benefits that have emerged for both the business and the communities involved. At UnidosUS (@WeAreUnidosUS), we're proud to be a part of the National Innovation Hub for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in Registered Apprenticeships, powered by Jobs for the Future (JFF). Our Workforce Development team is working tirelessly to promote the inclusion of Latino apprentices across the country. By leveraging our strong partnerships with nearly 300 community-based organizations and employers, we are raising awareness and boosting participation in apprenticeships, connecting Latinos to meaningful career opportunities. The importance of these efforts cannot be overstated. With a 92% employment retention rate post-program completion, apprenticeships offer a powerful pathway to long-term success. Imagine the impact of expanding occupations with apprenticeship programs—we could fill 3.2 million jobs! Sound on! Chris Abell, co-founder of the Maryland Apprenticeship Connector, shared with Allegany Radio the exciting things about apprenticeships! Apprenticeships aren't just for adults anymore - they're for students too! This initiative is part of Maryland's Blueprint for the Future [Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)] , focusing on building a future-proof workforce starting from middle school onwards. Did you know? There's an impressive return on investment of $1.47 for every dollar spent on apprenticeships. It's not just about shaping careers; it's about solid ROI for employers. Curious about which industries offer apprenticeships? Chris says almost any industry can join in. From tech to the public sector, there's something for everyone.

🔧 **Apprenticeship Programs: A Pathway to Success** 🔧 Apprenticeship programs represent a viable and sustainable career pathway across numerous sectors, offering valuable "earn and learn" opportunities. The practical, industry-relevant skills developed in these programs open doors for those who feel constrained by outdated narratives tying success solely to college degrees. Registered Apprenticeships put people on the path to good-paying jobs, providing an alternative route to success. I'm thrilled to see the current administration prioritizing apprenticeships by investing $244 million to expand, diversify, and modernize them. Let's continue to support and celebrate these essential programs! 👏💼 #Apprenticeships #CareerPathways #SkillBuilding #WorkforceDevelopment #InvestInPeople

Apprenticeships for America put together a fantastic study...definitely worth reading. We also visited our friends at the ACTE conference in Chicago recently and got to hear many perspectives. And, yes, there are a lot of reasons colleges don't scale apprenticeships... But the great news is that those challenges can be overcome with the right technology, so we put together a classic top-10 list to explain how GoSprout can eliminate them: https://bit.ly/4fnQEZs

Today more than ever we need to look out for our neighbors, friends, and family. Letting them know that we are supportive of them and their goals. Registered Apprenticeship was created to do just that. It allows people to follow a passion to a good career. It doesn't break the bank and it gives one an income right from the beginning. The company also buys into the success of the employees and encourages them to excel. It is a win-win situation. So, if you know someone who is trying to figure out what they want to do for work, has a passion but not a large bank roll to make it happen, encourage them to go to Apprenticeship.gov. It may just be the move that changes their life.
