Just had a breakfast with Brenda Stoner and Raul Varela in Dallas. Brenda, a seasoned entrepreneur and Founder, shared insights on the Texas Stock Exchange Project. Exciting times ahead! The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) is on the horizon, set to revolutionize the financial landscape. With $120 million in funding from key players like BlackRock and Citadel Securities, TXSE aims to commence trades next year, with listings expected by 2026. Key points: - Fully electronic national securities exchange - Focus on reduced compliance costs, making it CEO-friendly This initiative is a game-changer for companies seeking access to U.S. equity markets with less regulatory burden. It's a shift towards supporting business growth and innovation in today's dynamic economy. As a CEO entrenched in the Texas business community, I see the immense potential in TXSE's approach. Let's embrace an exchange that aligns with the needs of modern businesses. Texas focused leaders, what are your thoughts on this development? How do you foresee its impact on the business landscape in Texas and beyond? #TexasStockExchange #Innovation #Finance #Leadership #BusinessGrowth

And at last, a deep, long term (as in 1790 to 2023) perspective on the development of the US economy and the implications for the great American experiment. I’m really proud to have worked for Mark Higgins, CFA, CFP® for a short but definitive part of my career. #financialhistory #longterminvesting

2 mindsets in finance: scarcity or abundance. Scarcity leads to gates, insolation and protectionist behavior, possibly loss of value for the client. Fortunately at UBS Private Wealth Management we have an abundance mindset, which leads to collaboration, growth and high degrees of specialization - improving client outcomes and experience. Below is a pic of my large, complicated, mentoring, listening, and great work family.

This morning was an opportunity to reflect on the progress being made in public market reform - particularly what is being done to boost the small and midcap stocks that power the UK economy. It was a pleasure to chair a panel that sought to canter through the issues, the opportunities, the recent Budget, what’s missing and what stakeholders can productively do for themselves. Demand is everything. That’s why the recent pension disclosures, the British ISA and the Mansion House compact matter so much. But growth stocks on AIM and the Aquis Stock Exchange shouldn’t miss out just because the definition of “unlisted equities” confuses some people. And the British Business Bank needs to back public as well as private ventures if it is truly the UK’s development bank. The Quoted Companies Alliance is proud to play a part in this debate on behalf of our members. They include an A-Z (Allenby Capital to Zeus ) of company advisers, investors that collectively manage £10 billion underpinning hundreds of growing companies, plus the innovative companies themselves. Thanks to enthusiastic and knowledgeable panellists Mark Austin Natalie Bell (nee Conway) Sam Tufts Tim Powell Latham & Watkins Liontrust Asset Management PLC Phoenix Group Alpha Group. And for organising the event, thank you Marcus Stuttard Julia Hoggett London Stock Exchange CMIT - Capital Markets Industry Taskforce Emily Watts Julian Morse Cavendish #quotedcompanies #cityoflondon #midcaps #smallcapstocks #investment #buybritish #isa #ukeconomy
