They had a Waterstone to resolve their water problems. Do we have one? No, but we have something better: an opportunity to save what remains. Be the change. Let's not only conserve water but regenerate it through organic choices. Fact Check: Excessive use of chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers runs off into water bodies with rain, creating water dead zones worldwide and depleting water levels significantly. Organic farming methods, supported by proper soil science, can combat this issue and regenerate soil, water quality and water level. *** Every movie has a message, and I love watching these pieces of art. Recently, I watched "Latte and the Magic Waterstone." It depicts a forest suffering from severe drought, where animals are desperate to save every drop of water. They lose their last source of water due to Latte the hedgehog and Tjum the squirrel. The story follows their perilous journey to retrieve a magical waterstone, facing deceiving wolves, ghostly bears, and a fearful forest. Watch the rest of their adventure to see what happens next. *** Ramveer Tanwar (PondMan), Oceanlux CCU Climate-tech Architecture, are making significant strides in environmental conservation. The USDA closed the loophole that requires IF a beef product CHOOSES to be labeled a "Product of the USA" it must be Born, Raised, Slaughtered, and Processed in the USA. Leo McDonnell is my guest as we get his take on this change. It's a topic he has been advocating for, for 25 years. And as we know Country of Origin Labeling has been a controversial issue in our industry for many years. So, what clicked… what was it in these latest changes that brought agreement amongst industry groups that have been at odds in the past on this issue? We’ll discuss that as well as his thoughts on the WTO, the results of the Consumer Survey on beef products, and why he believes this voluntary approach to Country-of-Origin Labeling could build cooperation in the industry. #workingranchmagazine #ranchlife #ranching #dayweather #weather #agweather #beef #cows #livestock #cattle #Gelbvieh #DiamondV #InheriteSelect #USCA #NCBA #BeefCheckOff #RCalf #TruthInLabeling

Caleb is an asparagus grower too. He and many other young growers are balancing on a knife's edge because of escalating labor costs -- a problem created by the federal Department of Labor in the Administrations of both parties. If this isn't fixed pronto, consumers will no longer have the option to purchase Michigan asparagus or many other Michigan grown fruits and vegetables. The down stream affects on our rural communities will be significant impacting workers in fresh packing facilities, processing facilities, ag input suppliers and other service businesses as well as on schools and local government services. Take a listen. Learn more at ProtectOurProduce.com
As a key swing state in the 2024 presidential election, Michigan voters have power in this election. Did you know that Michigan is home to dozens of fruit and vegetable packers and processors? Unfortunately, those family farms face uncertainty, as generations of growers are facing shrinking returns on their produce and rising costs. Labor costs specifically continue to rise with no end in sight. Learn more about the rising costs Michigan farmers are facing: ProtectOurProduce.com #Election2024 #ProtectOurProduce #LaborPolicy #MichiganFarms #MichiganEconomy #AEWR #MichiganVoters #Agriculture

Grower Testimonial | Peter Black From 'Cecilvale' Brookstead QLD "The Weed-It sprayer is a great piece of technology. It has allowed us to be very efficient at controlling our hard-to-kill weeds. Probably the two main reasons for switching to the Weed-It were its efficiency and user-friendliness. It is very good at just spraying the weeds with not a lot of misfires, and it's very user-friendly. The auto-calibration is very easy to use—basically, just turn it on and go. There's great cost savings to be gained in certain situations where you're chasing hard-to-kill weeds because a lot of the time you only spray two percent of the paddock. That's a 98% saving of chemicals compared to a broad acre spray. For expensive chemicals, it might be a hundred dollars a hectare to broad acre spray, but you're spending two or three dollars a hectare and you do a job and get a result." 📹 Watch the full video testimonial here: https://lnkd.in/gmtgDmsH #GrowerTestimonial #WEEDITSprayer #SustainableFarming #QldFarming
