The holidays are upon us, and that means being surrounded by many family and strangers alike. For those who long for the quiet moments of solitude, it’s important to have an excuse prepared when you’re ready to leave. If the idea of hosting ruins your jorts, here’s some ways to be extra prepared when the expected happens: • Hide coasters is surreptitious places, so you can magically produce one to provide instant furniture protection for your guests. • If you have any life-size cut-outs or manikins, consider putting them in your shower or in closets. Nothing comforts guests more than feeling like they’re not alone in the bathroom. • Try putting a loose hair or two in some of your dishes. Nothing says authentic and homemade like finding your own family’s hair in their favorite dish. • Plan and provide potty-schedules for each of your guests. Your guests will feel relieved knowing they have assigned windows to relieve themselves without competition. • Remove all labels and indicators on your spices. Your secret ingredient will be safe from prying eyes.
