The holidays are upon us, and that means being surrounded by many family and strangers alike. For those who long for the quiet moments of solitude, it’s important to have an excuse prepared when you’re ready to leave. If the idea of hosting ruins your jorts, here’s some ways to be extra prepared when the expected happens: • Hide coasters is surreptitious places, so you can magically produce one to provide instant furniture protection for your guests. • If you have any life-size cut-outs or manikins, consider putting them in your shower or in closets. Nothing comforts guests more than feeling like they’re not alone in the bathroom. • Try putting a loose hair or two in some of your dishes. Nothing says authentic and homemade like finding your own family’s hair in their favorite dish. • Plan and provide potty-schedules for each of your guests. Your guests will feel relieved knowing they have assigned windows to relieve themselves without competition. • Remove all labels and indicators on your spices. Your secret ingredient will be safe from prying eyes.

🔥 Fire Tip Friday: Candle Safety During the Holidays! 🔥 As we embrace the warmth and beauty of candlelight during the holiday season, it’s crucial to prioritize safety. Here are some essential tips for using candles safely - 🕯️Keep Candles Away from Flammables: Always place candles at least three feet away from anything that can catch fire, including decorations, curtains, and furniture. 🕯️Use Stable Holders: Ensure that candles are placed in sturdy holders that won’t tip over. Use candle holders made of non-flammable materials. 🕯️Never Leave Candles Unattended: Always extinguish candles when leaving a room or going to bed. It only takes a moment for a candle to cause a fire. 🕯️Trim Wicks: Keep candle wicks trimmed to about ¼ inch to prevent uneven burning and excessive flame height. 🕯️Consider Flameless Options: For added safety, consider using flameless LED candles. They provide the same ambiance without the fire risk. Stay safe and happy holidays!

🎄 Keep Your Holidays Merry and Bright! ✨ Want to know the ultimate hack to keep your fresh-cut Christmas tree thriving? Boil the water before adding it to the stand! Here’s why: 1️⃣ Opens Up the Trunk: Hot water dissolves sap that can clog the tree’s base, allowing it to absorb more water and stay hydrated. 🌡️💧 2️⃣ Maximizes Freshness: A well-hydrated tree stays green, lush, and less prone to shedding needles. 🌲 3️⃣ Prevents Drying Out: Boiled water helps the tree drink efficiently, keeping it from becoming brittle or dry—a must for holiday safety! 🎅🏼✨ 💡 How to Do It: Boil the water, let it cool slightly, and pour it into the tree stand while it’s still warm. Be careful not to burn yourself while handling the hot water! Repeat daily to keep your tree looking its best. 🎁 Pro Tip: Refill the stand before it goes dry—trees can drink a LOT in the first few days! P.S. Don’t forget to follow us here on Facebook for more helpful holiday tips! 🎅🏼✨ #HolidayHacks #ChristmasTreeCare #Homeownertips #YourMortgageCaddy 💙💚🏡⛳🚤

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 Staying cool in very high temperatures is essential for your well-being and comfort. Here are five effective ways to beat the heat: 1. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated. In hot weather, you tend to sweat more, leading to increased fluid loss. Drinking water helps regulate your body temperature and prevents dehydration. 2. Seek shade or air-conditioned spaces: Whenever possible, stay in the shade or indoors in air-conditioned areas during the hottest parts of the day. If you don't have air conditioning, consider spending time in public places like shopping malls, libraries, or community centers that offer air-conditioned environments. 3. Dress appropriately: Wear loose-fitting, lightweight, and light-coloured clothing. Light colours reflect sunlight rather than absorbing it, helping to keep you cooler. Avoid dark colours as they absorb heat and can make you feel even hotter. 4. Use fans and cool cloths: Fans can help circulate air and create a cooling breeze indoors. Place a bowl of ice or a frozen water bottle in front of the fan to enhance its cooling effect. Additionally, you can dampen a cloth with cold water and place it on your forehead, neck, or wrists to cool down. 5. Take cool showers or baths: A refreshing cool shower or bath can provide immediate relief from the heat. It helps lower your body temperature and offers a soothing sensation. If you can't take a full shower, even splashing your face and neck with cold water can be helpful. Bonus tip: Avoid strenuous physical activities during the hottest parts of the day. If you need to exercise, try to do it during the early morning or late evening when the temperature is cooler. Always listen to your body and take breaks in the shade or indoors if you start feeling too hot.
