Inspired by a personal experience during a vacation to Cape Breton, I realized that having to drive all the way to a visitor center could be more convenient and time-saving with a virtual visitor center solution. This led me to create a virtual visitor center using advanced AI tools like Llama 3, Groq, and CrewAI. This project is part of our Data Visualization course under the guidance of Michael Zhang (Director, Master of Business Analytics Program). 🚦 Excited to share a team project I've been working on: an AI-based Traffic Management System designed to optimize traffic flow at key intersections using real-time data. By integrating computer vision technology with YOLO object detection, we are dynamically adjusting traffic signals to respond to live traffic conditions. Key features include: Dynamic signal control: Prioritizing high-traffic roads and extending green signals by up to 3 minutes based on traffic load. Real-time adaptability: Continuously monitoring and adjusting signal timings in response to evolving traffic patterns. Smart optimization: Improving traffic efficiency, particularly in high-congestion areas with traffic coming from multiple directions.
