Transforming Agriculture: Australia's First Fully Automated Farm In the center of Australia's farming region, Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga is in the process of establishing the nation's first "hands-free farm." This innovative project, which will take place at Charles Sturt's AgriPark, aims to transform farming methods by combining robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The Global Digital Farm initiative, headed by Richard Norton, CEO of Food Agility, is to demonstrate the enormous potential of automation in agriculture. This futuristic farm, which covers a huge 1,900-hectare area, will make use of drones, sensors, autonomous cars, and cutting-edge technology like cybersecurity, machine learning, and data analytics. AI-driven sowing and harvesting procedures, along with the farm's arsenal of robotic tractors, harvesters, and survey equipment, promise to revolutionize agricultural operations. The farm uses technologies for carbon management and new sensors to monitor soils, plants, and animals to reduce their environmental impact while increasing productivity.
