Yesterday a small team from CLAAS UK got to visit South Angle Farm Park, a petting farm in Soham that is dedicated to providing education and enjoyment for children of all ages. Liona, the co-owner of South Angle Farm Park is the daughter of Patrick Wells, a cherished Field Sales Manager for MANNS, who unfortunately passed away in 2017. For this reason, and the fantastic work they do, we are proud to deliver 6 CLAAS pedal tractors to provide even more enrichment for their young customers. We had a great day exploring the facilities and even made a few friends! Thank you to Liona, David and Zoe for this opportunity. Be sure to check out their website and learn more about what they do at https://lnkd.in/egE4UcuC #cultivatingchange #peoplemakeCLAAS

We've had another successful Bake Off at CLAAS UK this week, raising money for the Farm Safety Foundation (affectionately known as "Yellow Wellies"), an independent charity set up to preserve and protect the physical and mental wellbeing of the next generation of farmers. Well done to everybody involved. 💚 #peoplemakeCLAAS #cultivatingchange

With investments of 330 million euros in strategic growth projects #CLAAS has held its ground in a challenging market environment. A fiscal year is about more than just numbers; it's filled with exciting milestones. This year, we celebrated selling over 500,000 CLAAS combines, introduced a broad range of new innovative products in the areas of forage harvest, maize pickers, telehandlers and specialized tractors, and launched our all-new digital ecosystem, CLAAS connect, in October. “CLAAS has stayed on course even in rough waters,” emphasizes CEO Jan-Hendrik Mohr. “In times like these, it is crucial to stand together, manage costs efficiently, and proactively advance our business. We have once again increased our expenditure on research and development and made targeted investments in future projects, new technologies and our production network. In this way, we ensure sustainable growth and drive innovation.“ Find out more about the figures and explore even more highlights from the 2024 fiscal year here: https://lnkd.in/gFV-zzch #agriculture #farming #results #financials

#Sustainability does not only play a major role in the production or use of machines. Even when a machine has reached the end of its service life, #ESG is far from "dead". 💡 Circular economy is the key word here: it describes a sustainable, economic model that aims to conserve resources and minimize waste. ♻️ A worthwhile goal, and in fact #CLAAS in Harsewinkel has been dismantling discarded combine harvesters, which were used as test vehicles and prototypes, after their "demise" for more than ten years so that many #parts can be reused, provided they are in good condition. It also enables more sustainable recycling of parts that cannot be reused. This is intended to take account of the concept of sustainability beyond the service life of a #machine. #agriculture #farming

Open-minded and forward-thinking: #CLAAS is exploring hydrogen alternatives to diesel. 🔬 💧 At CLAAS, we're committed to addressing the challenge of #decarbonization in agriculture. Our latest initiative focuses on hydrogen engines. As part of a broad-based consortium, we're partnering with esteemed partners like MAHLE, DEUTZ, and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to explore practical, sustainable drive technologies. 🤝 Supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the research examines the potential of #hydrogen engines in reducing emissions and enhancing efficiency. As member of this consortium, CLAAS basically researches the most sustainable, practical, and cost-effective solutions for various on-farm applications. While battery-powered systems fit best for applications in and around the farmyard, alternative fuels are the most suitable solution for heavier machine classes. This is another step towards the more sustainable #farming of tomorrow. For example, in addition to researching hydrogen solutions, CLAAS approved its current product portfolio to run on HVO diesel as early as 2023. 🌍🔄 #agriculture #ESG #sustainability

🎉 Inspiring encounters to celebrate women in industry and raise awareness among younger generations! 👩🔧👩🎓. We recently had the pleasure of hosting two significant events: ✅ In Woippy, middle school students took part in the Women in Tech initiative, designed to inspire young people—especially girls—to explore careers in technical and industrial fields. This initiative is a collaborative project led by the local media Le Républicain Lorrain and UIMM Lorraine. Together, they partnered with 7 middle schools in Lorraine to create videos highlighting the role of women in 7 companies across the region. Thanks to our colleague Audrey Munier , project Manager, who took part to this initiative. ✅ In Le Mans, women visited our factory to engage with our female employees, exchanging insights about their careers and sharing their passion and experiences. 👏 These moments of sharing and exchange are essential for promoting diversity and inspiring future vocations. A big thank to all the participants and organizers for their dedication. UIMM Sarthe Véronique NOËL Lycée Georges de la Tour #Diversity #WomenInIndustry #Education #ESG
