We are delighted to share that the BCIT Tall Timber Student Housing project was awarded Outstanding Structure (in the New Buildings: $30 million to $80 Million category) at the NCSEA 2024 SEE Awards. The SEE Awards took place early November during the NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit in Las Vegas, NV. During the summit, Fast + Epp Associate, Jamie Pobre Sullivan delivered a presentation on this 12-storey mass timber structure, showcasing how it's CLT point-supported design - consisting of mass timber (CLT) floors supported on steel HSS columns - met the sustainability and architectural demands of the project. We are immensely proud to be contributing to the next generation of tall timber, and grateful for all our collaborators, whose shared vision is driving innovation in our industry. Thank you NCSEA for the recognition!
