It was great joining Nayeema Raza at SEMAFOR's The Next 3 Billion Summit yesterday to discuss the transformative power of digital public infrastructure in accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals. The world is changing, and we have to think bigger and take new approaches to development. DPI has the incredible potential to drive widespread participation in the digital economy, especially for women and low-income populations. This is where we will see the most long-term gains for both the private and public sectors.

It's probably the biggest game-changer of our times. And India has surprised us (and everyone else I think!) with demonstrating how much can be done, how quickly - and how many traditional barriers can be leap-frogged. Glad the conversation is global.

How it is possible for one of the most respected foundations in the world to grant an honor for fighting poverty to one of the most corrupt human (Brazil president) beings in the world. It is unfortunate . Imagine all the money that was stolen being used for the benefit of the most vulnerable populations, not only in Brazil but around the world. To award someone like that is a slap in the face to honest Brazilians. A shame Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
