This year, Swedbank had 58 participants attending live, with countless others joining online—embracing the opportunity for personal growth and development. In today's rapidly changing world, lifelong learning is no longer just an option; it’s the only way forward to stay ahead and future-ready. Here are my top insights: ⭐️Demonstrate openness to feedback, admit mistakes, and show vulnerability! ⭐️Build a culture of givers—start by asking! ⭐️Stop prioritizing—focus instead! ⭐️Ditch job descriptions; create responsibility descriptions! ⭐️Whether it’s a customer or an employee, it’s all about how you make them feel! ⭐️A strong brand can save you when things go wrong—beware of brand failure! ⭐️Be the difference in people’s lives! This year, I've had the chance to work on projects with companies focused on financial inclusion and retail investor empowerment. It's been exciting to explore this space again after 4+ years at Public. What's stood out is how differently each of these companies is approaching the next generation of investors. There's Stakeholder Labs, modernizing investor marketing; AfterHour, a ridiculously-fun and ridiculously-transparent trading community; Commonwealth, driving research to help fintechs and financial services better serve all investors; and Center for Retail Investors & Corporate Inclusion, where I'm a fellow working on corporate access and financial education. I got to speak about this at last week's Benzinga conference—thanks to Sarah Smith for moderating such a great discussion.
