Right now I’m getting so many messages from business owners who are telling me that… 👉 They’re not making any money 💴 and not covering their business costs. 👉 They’re making some money 💴 but still can’t afford to pay themselves. 👉 or they’re making money 💴 but can only pay themselves a small salary, which is nowhere near what they were getting paid when they had a job! I hear you. l feel your pain. It's not easy running a children's activity business which is why l set up the Children's Activity Business Club, because with the right strategy and support you can totally make money 💸 Next month l will be teaching one way to make money 💰through the £1k in 7 Day Challenge that you can use time and time again, but l'm only doing it in the club. £4,000+ generated from one workshop. You hear a lot about "low ticket offers" - and there is a reason why. Because they're a very powerful entry point into your world. Last year I ran a £19 workshop. 12 people attended. 7 went on to become paying members of my community. 1 went on to become a high-fee 1:1 client. The income generated from this workshop was north of £4k. Want to give your business a jumpstart? Take a piece of your core service and package it into a low-fee offer. Enrol people into it then offer something even better on the other side. Rinse 'n repeat ✌

Well said Chris Ball It doesn’t matter what size your business is! Where you’re at with your business journey! Every single business everywhere in the whole world has problems with Sales Growth Structure Finance Marketing Staff Time management Branding Feeling overwhelmed Pressure Fear of failure Work/ life balance And THAT is just part of what we help with at YAB! The fact that @Chris sees the value in guidance from smaller businesses shows the kinds of business owners we have in YAB. If you have ever started your own business, grown it, nurtured to success, then YAB can help you.
Inspiring Business owners, MD’s and Leadership teams - Creating Growth Strategies, Alignment and Planning for Succession early whilst Motivating the whole team to own their roles. Delivering Clarity, Focus and Direction.
This isn’t right. To the point that boils my p*** At an event recently someone asked me all about YAB - Your Affordable Board. 🙏 During conversation they implied that it wasn’t for them “that’s absolutely fine by me” 👏 I understand that everyone’s different. What empowers some, may not appeal to others. BUT :- (here comes that rant) What really ticks me off, is when they tell others that YAB is just for small businesses 🤯 I ran a multi million pound business… Lots of our members run multi million pound businesses too. But some don’t. 👍 This guy did just under £1m last year… My wage bill was bigger than that. 👉 If I’ve learnt anything over the last 25 years owning and running businesses… It’s that the first step to resolving any issue, is getting it off your chest. So, That’s what we do 👇 YAB - Your Affordable Board creates a safe place for business owners to breath… To talk To be challenged To receive guidance and support From decent people, likeminded people, regardless of size… Without the fear or anxiety of being sold to all the time. The best business guidance I’ve ever received, was delivered by a lady with a business far, far smaller than mine. They were so much closer to reality than me or my mates. YAB - Your Affordable Board is a community… created by business owners who couldn’t find the help or support they needed Just like me 😊 Without spending £20,000 year. That’s the whole point! ✅ Rant over - “Sorry” Decide for yourself, not from others 👇 Over 120 other business owners tend to agree https://lnkd.in/e6zYbcGG Use this code to see for yourself as my guest- YABBER. Burnley tomorrow Chorley next week Rawtenstall the week after.

--- It was an absolute privilege to share the course with you, gents. While many may see a midweek round of golf, I see something deeper—two clients who, under normal circumstances, may have never crossed paths. Despite their businesses being vastly different, the similarities they share are striking. Supporting this Charity Golf Day on behalf of The Flavour Lab not only strengthened my relationships with both clients but also gave me a deeper insight into their operations. More importantly, it created a connection between two businesses that had previously never even known the other existed. So, why did I do this? To help one growing business gain a better logistical understanding from a more established company, while also exploring more competitive pricing structures that will ultimately grow my portfolio with both clients. You may see a round of golf, but I see the foundations being laid for stronger business partnerships in the next six months. ---

Small Business Saturday in the UK is an annual event that encourages consumers to shop at small, independent businesses. The campaign, which began in 2013, aims to support small businesses by driving foot traffic and sales on the first Saturday of December. So, this year it's 7th December. The Bathgate and Linlithgow constituency is home to a number of truly unique and traditional towns and villages, many of which host a wide variety of small, high quality, specialist retailers, business services and stores. Small Business Saturday is the perfect opportunity for local residents to show their support for such firms, which play a vital role in their communities and ensure our town and village centres remain vibrant places to visit, shop, work, live and be entertained in. Here are some statistics that highlight the impact of small businesses on the local economy: Economic Contribution: Small businesses are a significant part of the UK economy. According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 99.9% of the business population at the start of 2023, contributing 52% of the total turnover of UK private sector businesses. Employment: SMEs are crucial for employment in the UK. As of early 2023, SMEs employed around 16.4 million people, which is approximately 61% of the total employment in the UK private sector. Impact of Small Business Saturday: In 2022, British shoppers spent an estimated £774 million at local shops and eateries on Small Business Saturday, showcasing the significant impact of the campaign. This represents a substantial boost to the local economy and highlights the importance of supporting small businesses. Local Economic Benefits: Research indicates that for every £1 spent with a small or medium-sized business, 63p stays within the local economy, compared to 40p with larger businesses. This multiplier effect helps to sustain local jobs and services. Community Engagement: Small businesses often play a vital role in their communities, not just economically but also socially. They tend to support local events, charities, and initiatives, fostering a sense of community and belonging. #SmallBizSatUK

Your business is more about you than you might realise. 🫵 A commonly held belief when building your own biz is you need the skills and "how to" first. But what you're really looking for is the certainty it will work for YOU. And there's only one person that can decide that...🤩 That's why the From Fundraiser to Freelancer course BEGINS with the inner beliefs and stories you're telling yourself... ...you know the ones that say that you can't be, do and have whatever it is you desire? And then we move into the strategies and practical stuff. Without the foundational stuff in place you're building your business on rocky ground. And that's when things start to fall over. ---------------------- I'm Jane and I help conscientious charity professionals build profitable and life changing businesses. 👋🏼

Do you think you’re “greedy” for charging more? I understand why you might think that, but the truth is that if we really think about it - charging more allows you to give more. The thing is, the point of every business is to make money. And of course we have many, many experiences society that lead us to believe things like “money is the root of all evil” and so on. But if The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donates billions of dollars to help underprivileged communities - who’s really helping more people? Them by charging more to people who can afford it? Or little old us who are afraid of charging more, so we do more charity work on a small scale? They’re helping more people. Because - let’s face it - they’re kind of like ethical Robin Hood. Only instead of stealing, they Sell to the rich, and give to the poor. You can’t give anything to anyone if you don’t have anything to give in the first place. You’re not doing yourself or anyone else any favors either, even those people you think you’re doing favors. When you’re charging so little that you’re stressing yourself into burnout, trying to stretch the working hours in the day to cover expenses - the quality of your service suffers. The quality of your business suffers. And those people who paid less? They’re not getting the service they deserve if you’re so stressed about money that you’re not able to focus on them. So here’s the deal: Raising your prices means you get to give more. Give back more to your community. Give greater service to fewer clients you actually have the space and time to focus on. Give more to your family, children, and friends because you’re in a comfortable financial place to do so. Maybe even give more to those student loan sharks so you can finally get them off your back 😉 The truth is, having more money doesn’t make you evil. It just amplifies who you already are. And you are the change we need in the world. Amplify that. It’s time to charge more. I created a guide to show you exactly how to grow your business so you can charge more to give more.
