When the algorithm places posts on my feed, I try to react honestly without regard for hurting anyones feelings. I am being targeted with content, so I am being prodded to react. I am a social justice warrior at the core. I don't give a damn what religious lable anyone wishes to wear or more realistically had it branded on them as children and are doing their best to leverage that lable into doing something worthwhile for the world, their neighbors, or themselves. It is good to see people doing good work. We need social groups like these in every town. America would be a significantly kinder, friendlier, and safer place to live. However, it is extremely difficult to comprehend local social justice when globally we as American's (both Jews and Christians) are being programmed to support mass murder and the total destruction of life and property of people overseas that we cannot see or hear or help in any real way. It matters immensely how one answers this question. Is it only regional or local social justice we care about or does that notion apply to all people, everywhere? The lables Christian and Jew have been destroyed and redefined by those who lust for power and wealth. They have manipulated of our media and our government at every level to such an extent that we now have churches and temples cheering for mass murder labeled as self defense. White Nationals are not Christian and Zionists are not Jews. Anyone joining any social justice organization should be clear about the definitions going in because even Hitler and the Nazi's had millions of innocent families engaged in what they believed were social justice groups that were entirely for the benefit of the German people.

This fall, I joined the board of Jews United for Justice, a fantastic membership organization of Maryland and DC Jewish folks and allies to work for economic, racial, and social justice in our region. I've been a fan of Jacob Feinspan and his team are doing to support workers and communities of color across DC and Maryland, and I'm really honored to get to help this team. Every year, JUFJ gathers our communities for a single night to celebrate our wins, honor some of our leaders and partners, and see old and new friends. This year, for the first time ever, this celebration, the Heschel Vision Awards, is taking place in Baltimore. It’s an opportunity to learn more about JUFJ and to support an organization that’s making a real difference in people’s lives and have a lovely evening with passionate and compassionate people. It’s Sunday, December 8. I hope you’ll join me. Please check out https://lnkd.in/ehcD5UqT to reserve your spot and support this fantastic organization -- and reach out if you want to talk more about JUFJ!

🚴🏾Today the Tour de France witnessed history as the first Black man, Biniam Girmay, won stage 3. 🎉 The sheer pride and exhilaration he must feel, knowing he has etched his name in the history of the exclusive sport of cycling, is unparalleled! This moment is not just a personal victory; it's a win for every Black person who aspires to be the first. His triumph reminds me of being the first in my family to achieve significant milestones: ✅ Going to and completing college. ✅ Obtaining a terminal degree. ✅ Competitively swim and cycle. ✅ Starting a 501c3. ✅ Awarded by city municipality for leadership. ✅ Receiving educational distinction awards. ✅ Starting a coaching and consulting business. ✅ Breaking the cycle of abuse. …more firsts to come in the near future.😉 #legacygoals When we break new ground to pave the way for ourselves we actually pave the way for others. That brings a mix of pride, responsibility, and an overwhelming sense of possibility. It's a powerful reminder that our achievements are not just ours; they become part of a larger narrative of progress and inspiration. As school leader, I experienced similar emotions when we broke barriers and set new precedents. Leading with conviction, driving change in systems resistant to it, and witnessing the positive ripple effects on our students and communities—that's the heart of our mission. Every small victory is a step towards greater change. Whether on the cycling tracks of the Tour de France or the hallways of our schools, keep pushing boundaries and making history. Share and celebrate some of your firsts ⬇️

When I was in my early 20’s, closer to the time I moved from my small town to the bustling capital of New Delhi, I realised I wanted to grow old. Around the time I reached adulthood, I wanted to blow my candles quick! I wanted to be in my 40’s. 20 years back, I didn’t see youth as a privilege. I saw it as a grind. I was hustling. I wanted that hustle that move to the next stage where I didn’t have to prove myself. I had seen my college seniors and then older colleagues at work, many of them women who seemed more in control of their lives, their minds and their presence. I wanted that poise. That confidence to be myself in my skin. To be a contributor. To have a mind of her own. To be heard. To be available for someone younger. To be a support to another woman or even a man in work or in life. To be something. To be someone! Now, in my 40’s, I’m also grateful for the youth that didn’t create a mirage of my own worth. I wasn’t trapped in my love for my youth. I love ageing. I love my greys, my wrinkles and everything else. I came late to the fitness party. And that’s the only small niggle I carry. Maybe I could have started a decade earlier. But then, when I look at my own story…of someone struggling to win against time, find purpose and push my own boundaries, my mental fitness was my primary priority. As workplaces grow and swell, it’s important to have these conversations. I can imagine insecurities, doubts and ideas of longevity can step into the best of us. As workforces change, let’s look at what do we mean by ‘prime’. Let’s talk about ageism. Wisdom. Experience. Let’s talk about how can we create inter-generational conversations at home, at work and everywhere else! Our stories are a work in progress. How we see it is more important than how we tell it. Good Morning! #Storytelling #StorytellingWithRituparna

Ageism is so yesterday and yet it prevails! What are your thoughts? Ageing is a privilege, and the wisdom often taken for granted. #DigitalMarketing #DigitalDreams #ageism
