What a week! we made it, it's.. FRIYAAAAY 😀 !!! The highlight of my week was facilitating my Peer Mentoring Circle on behalf of the Association of Business Mentors (ABM) Help to Grow: Management Course Mentors. This week we worked through effective and efficient ways of researching, setting and gauging critical success factors for a mentoring project along with sharing lots of experience and wisdom about how to get the best out of the project for all involved. I love these sessions, they enable us all to share and learn and support each other in growing and developing our businesses as well as our mentoring skills whilst maintaining the highest standards. If you're new to Peer-to-peer mentoring it is a process in which participants share their knowledge and expertise to help everyone grow and develop. Not only can this process help to improve the skills and knowledge of team members, but it can also foster a critical awareness of the key issues around mentoring and help to grow your mentoring network. In my first mentoring session, my mentor asked, "What do you hope to achieve through this mentoring program?" This question set the stage for a focused and impactful journey. Initially, I believed mentoring was merely about talking and networking. However, as my mentoring sessions concluded, I realized how much I had learned and grown through the process. I discovered that a successful mentoring program starts with setting clear goals and aligning with your mentor in the early sessions.  Committing to the program and attending sessions regularly is essential for maintaining the right mindset. To maximize benefits, it’s important to track your progress by applying the advice from each weekly meeting, which allows for ongoing practice and improvement. When I used to run mentoring programs manually, before I started Brancher, I found it so difficult to measure success. We had no way of tracking meetings, engagement, satisfaction, goals, retention etc without doing a survey - and 6 months later, it was too late to step in and course correct. Every program administrator needs to be able to measure a mentoring program’s success. If you can’t prove the program is achieving its goals, there’s a chance that management will shut it down or the program participants will lose interest. By establishing clear measures of success from the start, you’ll be able to easily track your program’s progress and see how it’s working for your organisation. In this article, we’ll teach you how to achieve this.
