It doesn’t always show up as arrogance or #overconfidence—it can also look like defensiveness, a need to control every detail, or even avoiding tough conversations because you don’t want to “look bad.” Here’s something we don’t talk about enough: Ego thrives on #insecurity. When we’re uncertain about our abilities, we can fall into ego-driven behaviours to protect ourselves. But the irony is, the more ego takes the wheel, the harder it becomes to build trust, foster innovation, or make #decisions that truly serve the bigger picture. What’s at stake? 1️⃣ Your growth. When ego runs the show, it blocks self-awareness—the foundation for growth. You can’t learn if you think you already know everything. 2️⃣ #Team trust.
