Reflecting on Our 2009 Website—the original "yearbook" Thanks to the Internet Archive's #WaybackMachine, we uncovered our original website from 2010, reminding us that nothing is ever truly erased from the Internet. In 2009, we dedicated significant time and energy to creating a site that was both humble and rooted in our mission—a mission that remains at the heart of what we do today. As we celebrate 15 years of GreenerU, we’re proud to reflect on our journey. We've stayed true to our values while driving positive change for the planet, our clients, and each other. Here’s to the next #15years! #GreenerU #Sustainability #Anniversary https://lnkd.in/eUVihJGR

We need a climate for change. People and the ecosystems we live in, in this Digital Age, have great capabilities to improve and sustain the quality of life for all. If we, public, private and otherwise, interact and team up. As we face and urgently need to deal with many societal challenges, we need a climate for change. This new, open access book is quite relevant, to start understanding how to address various Societal Challenges in a multimodal and intermodal manner: Automated Vehicles as a Game Changer for Sustainable Mobility (and Logistics), published by Springer Nature: https://lnkd.in/e5yW6S6s What are the benefits, which are the challenges to achieve those, and how to get the right stakeholders onboard and ecosystems, infrastructures, values and interests aligned? Congratulations on the editors, in particular Guy Fournier, Adriaan Boos, Dimitri Konstantas and Danielle Attias, as well as the other contributors to this book. I am honored to have been requested and able to write one of forewords, where I elaborate on The Five Ts: Transparency, Trust, Teamwork, Try & Transform. I welcome you to enjoy reading this - free - publication, use its valuable content, and join an ever-increasing community that is determined to foster the climate for change and focus on making the difference, for the short, mid and long term, whether local, regional, global or otherwise. #TypicallyArthurArthur's Legal, Strategies & Systems, ULTIMO project, Avenue Project, #InstituteForFutureOfLiving & #Flyve

Is a new 'green' this and a new 'sustainable' that not really giving you the sense that, collectively, we really even understand the crises we face, let alone how we stop continuing to perpetuate this madness? Yeah, us too. That's why we created our (re)connecting Business with Earth 4 week unschooling experience: because true sustainability goes so much deeper than simply selling a product made with a different source of energy, or from different, seemingly more sustainable, materials. ******* If building a truly sustainable world is important to you, and you’d like to understand what that looks like at an individual, organisational and systemic level, come and join us at (re)Biz, where you’ll learn all of this and find a community of like-hearted people too. Applications are now open for our 29th August cohort. Applications are open until 26th August 2024. You can find our syllabus here: https://lnkd.in/g_pPzMZV And you can join us here at a geopolitical price-point that works for you: https://lnkd.in/ekXdT3p2 ******* The (re)Biz (re)connecting business to Earth workshop runs for 28 days and is designed to be taken at the same time as working full-time. Sessions are held online, with 1 x zoom session each week. The weekly time commitment is approximately 5-7 hours including the zoom sessions, with additional resources for those who have the capacity to delve further. In addition you'll join our like-hearted community of people, have life-long access to over 20 chapters of content, gain access to a wealth of resources and be challenged to stretch your thinking and worldview in many ways. ********* If you have any queries, DM Ryan (Ra) James or Erin Remblance who will be happy to hear from you 🙂 www.rebiz.io

Today, April 22nd, is Earth Day. A day that has been observed since 1970 to raise ecological awareness among humans about how remarkable our Earth is, and particularly the life it sustains. The Netherlands is a wonderful place to live, with beautiful natural landscapes that we all must cherish for the generations to come. However, the Netherlands also possesses a high energy density and extensive infrastructure including (air)ports and heavy industry. Innovation, international developments, and the utilization of existing infrastructure require intensive collaboration with all stakeholders to successfully integrate climate concerns with the economy. Citizens and entrepreneurs should not view this solely as costs for a cleaner energy system and better climate, but rather as investments in the future, offering opportunities such as new markets, products, and jobs in areas like digitalisation, circularity, mobility, and energy management. Eviden has developed a vision, ideas, and strategies to contribute to the transition towards a circular economy, energy transition, and combating climate change through innovation and digital technology. We have embedded this in our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, with a focus on our society and environment. Fulfilling our responsibility to society, Eviden contributes to ecological awareness by making sustainability an integral part of our conversations on digital sustainability through our sustainability portfolio (https://lnkd.in/esMvnu5q) . One of these elements is our handbook for designing, developing, and managing sustainable software. See also our just launched Sustainable Software Development Handbook here https://lnkd.in/eyBRHQQN. #EarthDay #Sustainability #ClimateAction #DigitalTransformation #ESG PS Pictures taken when walking or running in the Netherlands.

This fall, I've had the privilege of connecting with educators, community members, and industry leaders who are deeply committed to sustainability and eager to take action. Across the events I attended, I discovered that these different groups face very similar challenges: At the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Eco Fair, teachers shared how they want to inspire the next generation but often lack the time to upskill and the confidence to teach complex climate topics effectively. At EcoFair Toronto, community members expressed a strong desire to act but often feel overwhelmed by the scope of climate issues and unsure where to start. At Pivot Tech 24, industry leaders are committed to decarbonization, but upskilling and aligning teams, and turning ambition into scalable action remains a key challenge. One thing is clear: a lack of knowledge and awareness is blocking progress. Another way to look at this - knowledge and confidence can unlock action. 🎯 At CocoBean Climate, we focus on breaking down barriers to climate engagement. We simplify complex topics, foster confidence, and align learning with actionable strategies for meaningful change. Are you ready to empower your team to take climate action with confidence? Let’s connect! 💬 Pics below are of Dorothy Barnes, my partner-in-crime, and me in action at these events! 📸 #Sustainability #ClimateAction #ClimateLiteracy #ClimateFresk #EmployeeEngagement

Creating a greener workplace, team, or lab is a collective effort and everyone can make a positive contribution no matter what role they have in the team. Zeroverse training helps colleagues forge new bonds around a shared goal: doing better on sustainability. It provides the time and space for groups to find the right path forward to maximize the positive and reduce the negative impact of their work or studies on the environment. Groups training together have said that it acted like a team-building event allowing them to: 🙌 Get together and focus on sustainability 🙌 Share what is already going on in different corners of their organisation 🙌 Learn from each other 🙌 Find support 🙌 Spark new relationships, ideas, and projects 🙌 Work together 💡 To make it simpler to train as a team, we've created new 'Group tickets' for our Carbon Literacy and Climate Action trainings: June https://lnkd.in/g2WYqhx9 August https://lnkd.in/gfEX5gur November https://lnkd.in/gbdfFK3Z Designed for people with any role in the research and higher education sector. Courses accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project. Artwork by David Espinosa for Fine Acts. Discounts for LEAF labs and CANIE: Climate Action Network for International Educators members. #research #highereducation #carbonliteracy

#ECO 🌏💡Successful workshops on Ecological Crises & Organization!💡🌏 ✳️ By shaking given ideas, touching hearts, and sharing diverse perspectives, the first ECO Network seminar was a great opportunity ✳️ 🎁 I had the chance to present my new paper proposal: 📒 "Emotional Aspects of Grand Challenges: Which Ways to See Beyond?" This scoping review investigates the role of emotions in human behaviors when facing Grand Challenges (GCs), such as climate change and global socio-environmental issues. It highlights the significance and boundaries of emotions as practical resources, the influence of social norms, and structural factors to transform beyond individual responses. The review also discusses the need for authentic emotional engagement, politics, and citizen action to promote change. It emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary research, affective sustainability, and overcoming traditional limits (human-nature connectedness) for efficient actions. 🌀 The ECO network goals stand as: 1. Deepen knowledge about the organizational aspects of ecological crises. 2. Support practice and policy-making for necessary change. 3. Collaborate with environmentally engaged practices and strengthen our focus on ecological crises. 4. Develop teaching materials that challenge the status quo and create eco-conscious learning spaces. 5. Build a robust and inclusive community to transform our institutions and address ecological crises. 🤩 I am grateful for the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved 🙏 Let's continue to work together and build on the momentum we've created! 🌱 #EcologicalCrises #Organization #Collaboration #Sustainability #Change
