Global Leadership Exchange’s Post

#ICYMI Launched at the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being in Rome OECD - OCDE's flagship report How’s Life? 2024: Well-being and Resilience in Times of Crisis. This 6th edition of How’s Life? shows that while government interventions to address the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis have contributed to the resilience of average incomes and employment outcomes, cost-of-living pressures as evidenced by housing costs and people’s self-reported financial insecurity remain significant for many households. At the same time, there are warning signs in critical non-economic aspects of well-being – most notable in health, subjective well-being and social connectedness. Much stronger action is also needed to maintain today’s well-being for future generations, particularly when it comes to combatting climate change. You can access the report, its key findings as well as country highlights here: https://bit.ly/HiL2024   Also live is the new OECD - OCDE Digital Well-being Hub developed in collaboration with Cisco is now live. In this new Hub, you can explore and learn about the benefits and risks of digital technologies, and it also allows you to report your digital well-being. Grateful to Gary Gillespie, Pedro Conceição, Katherine Trebeck, Francois Bourguignon for joining me on the last stage of the 7th #OECD World Forum on Well-Being. Thank you for your insights on how to sustain the Beyond GDP momentum, and to make our collective efforts more meaningful and powerful.   Four key areas especially call for important attention:   🔄 In economy, we must shift our economic policies and strategies towards ‘triple-win’ solutions that benefit people, the planet, and prosperity, placing equity and sufficiency at the core.  📊 In data, it’s time to innovate and open our data collection and communication processes to ensure information is more timely, granular, and meaningful for people. 🌍 In climate action, let’s turn the climate crisis into an opportunity for impactful change, aiming for the breadth, urgency, and fairness needed for a true green transition.  🤖 In AI, we need swift action to harness AI’s potential responsibly for human well-being, while ensuring it doesn’t deepen inequalities or introduce new risks.    💡 Well-being begins now, and only through unified efforts we can harness our collective potential to make a meaningful impact, enhancing well-being for everyone today and for generations to come.   #sustainability #AI #Climateaction #Data #triplewin #wellbeing #OECDForumWellBeingRome2024
