Lifetime employment at a single #job is largely a thing of the past. https://bit.ly/3QPqNiL As people live and work longer and companies need flexible workers who can adapt to evolving work situations, the non-linear #career path is the new normal. Find out why in Forbes. #FutureofWork

For those of you who are #transitioningteachers or are #careerchangers of any kind, when it comes to your next place of employment, I would strongly encourage you to stop focusing so much on “where do I want” and instead focus on “WHAT do I want.” It is, in my experience, far easier to list the aspects you want and use those things to help you determine your next role as opposed to pulling up a list of companies and going from there. Do you want a workplace that is closer to home? List it! Flexible hours? List it! A more independent role versus a collaborative one? List it! Let your wants and needs determine what company or role meets your criteria instead of trying to shoehorn yourself into something that might not be better than what you’re moving on from.

We all hate some people. But if you genuinely hate someone to the point that you want to ruin their whole career, here are 6 easy steps: 1. Tell them they need to intensely focus work-life balance early in their career. 2. Make them feel guilty and odd about working hard for their company. Tell them examples about other companies where people slack. 3. Tell them how people in Europe are shifting to 4 and 3 day work-weeks. This 40hr/week is too much and non-productive. Just waste time here and there. 4. Tell them how corporations and capitalist world is essentially evil and exploiting. One should always be negative and skeptic about their employer. 5. No matter how much their salary is, just tell him/her its really low. Remind him of the expenses, inflation, and people earning higher than him. InshAllah you'll see guaranteed results in max 3 years. He will be heading nowhere in life and will be significantly worse-off. **Career Journey Simplified: 🤓 - Start working at 22, retire at 60. - That's 38 years of work. - You won't do the same job or role your entire life. 🔄 - The internet allows you to work from anywhere. 💻 - City, state, and country borders are less relevant. 🌍 **Plan in 3-5 year batches. 📅 - Your first job is just the beginning. 🚀 - It's not the job you'll do for the next 38 years. ⏳ - You never know what you can become!! 🌟 #hr #job #lifecycle #experience
