It’s been a tough road trying to find a new job since July, and honestly, I’m feeling pretty defeated right now. 😩 I’m currently working in a temporary role as a hardware support technician, helping to set up data center servers, which is fine and all, but I’m really itching for something more permanent. What’s driving me up the wall is the sheer saturation of IT and tech companies in my area. It feels like every corner I turn, there's another business looking for talent. You’d think that would create opportunities, right? But here’s the kicker: my resume isn’t exactly sparkling. While I’ve got a solid amount of experience at a big tech corporation, it feels like that doesn’t count for much unless I’ve checked off every box on the wish list—such as having a master’s degree or being related to someone in power. 😒 I mean, I can’t even get a sniff for basic help desk roles anymore!
