Open for thoughts….. IF we employed a Sales Role (BDM/Exec etc) from our lovely warm office in Wrexham (absolutely not remote - maybe 1 day a week from home)……. is it likely I could attract good quality for £35k? (With a bonus structure to be agreed - and a reasonable lease car to start) I’m quite adamant the candidate has the following demonstrated skills though, and wonder if I’m asking too much? - Ability to have F2F ‘self generated’ meetings (supported by me for the right opportunities) for direct B2B revenue - Develop in-bound enquiries through to sale, mainly B2C from web etc - Experience in sales, but in particular waste / skips management and ideally a regional business not the national bin wagon type - Solid organisation skills, and computer literate! (Better than me ideally!) - understanding of contracts, so as we develop the business the right person will actually support me not hinder my time - marketing / sales pack ideas to assist in sales, and potentially lead on the marketing aspects of our business… - Nice person, ability to transfer skills throughout the rock solid team we already have. Basically no bullshit, hysterical or entitled types - absolutely able to create, build and maintain relationships that deliver value and credibility… I don’t have time nor energy to train a BDM to be great, I need them to be a self starter and support / believe in our growth plans… Too much to ask? NB If your a recruiter reading this and know me (you’ll know my circle is small if so), advice is appreciated but not bombardment of candidates that move roles every 12 months 😂

The Role: The primary goal of the Solutions Engineer is to design, execute, and lead the entire pre-sales cycle, covering functional, operational, and technical support activities to prospective clients and existing customers. You will act as the ‘trusted advisor’ and a consultative resource to both internal (e.g., Sales, Product, Account Management, etc.) and external stakeholders, assisting in driving new business from prospective and existing customer accounts within their respective territory, as well as meeting and/or exceeding all sales quotas to achieve revenue goals. This position will include organizing, planning, directing, and coordinating all aspects of pre-sale engagement covering the entire platform across all target addressable markets.
