Thank you for sharing Craig. Truth telling is crucial so people have all the facts. We know holistic appraisal of all the facts lead to better decision-making - half baked knowledge leads to biased conclusions. Interestingly, a paper was published recently that demonstrates that people have confidence in their knowledge when they only have half the facts and therefore make poor decisions. One of the biggest challenges we have as humans is to be interested enough in life/an issue to read widely and deeply before we make a decision. Otherwise, our naive biases are in charge of how we think and what we do.

The Ministry of Employment, in collaboration with the Gibraltar Football Association (GFA), has launched its new football programme at HMP Windmill Hill. The programme aims to harness the power of football to encourage teamwork, discipline and personal growth, through coaching sessions, training practices, classroom activities and friendly matches. Minister Santos presented the 9 successful inmates who completed the inaugural course with certificates. Innovative programmes such as this one are crucial to supporting individuals in their journey towards rehabilitation and reintegration once they leave prison. We would like to extend our gratitude to the GFA and HMP staff for making this initiative such a success!

I remember hearing this song during that era. It's a song of hope. Even in the darkness of war, there is optimism for a better day. That was a time in our own country of realization that war is hell and that if war must be waged, as FDR declared "the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory." Do Americans today understand the concept of righteous might? I hope we still understand both parts of that. Righteousness and might. Might in the sense of strength, not might in the sense of maybe. Do we understand that we must win and that there are no runner-up or consolation trophies? Do we comprehend there is no substitute for victory? In the Philippines, the surrender at Corregidor led to the Bataan Death March. I wasn't there to second guess General Wainwright. But surrender to an heartless enemy is not a viable option. We have to confront China and stop the CCP aggression and hegemony now before it reaches the point of no return. Once again the Philippines is Ground Zero where we must take our stand. You can be certain that the Axis of China, Russia and Iran are more merciless than what we faced 80 years ago. Think that this is December 6, 1941. Instead of a fleet band competition at the Bloch Arena at Pearl Harbor, we are mobilizing to confront an enemy BEYOND our own shores. 🇺🇲
