🌟 This time last year, our employees were eagerly completing a survey that would lead to our Top Workplace Award. 🏆 This year, we won't be participating in that particular survey, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stepped back from continuing to create a remarkable work culture. Building a great place to work is a continuous journey, not a destination! Having an award is a testament to the hard work and dedication it takes to get there, but the hard work never stops! Humans, working together, to accomplish goals... that's hard. 👍🏼 So, we're passing on a Top Workplace award addition this year but here are three ways we’re committed to keeping our culture strong: 1️⃣ Focus on Meaningful Impact: 🎯 We prioritize outcomes that matter. By aligning on what’s essential, we ensure every effort has purpose and supports our mission. Every pack member has a place and an important role - we're connected because of that. 2️⃣ Foster Trust and Growth: 🌻 Our executives and managers are more than supervisors; they’re mentors who build teams founded on trust. This environment allows everyone to perform at their best, knowing they’re fully supported (and, the recent Hurricanes that hit Florida highlighted this for us all too well). 3️⃣ Encourage Ownership and Innovation: 💯 We empower our team members to take responsibility, own their work, and have the freedom to be successful. This creates a culture where everyone actively contributes to making our workplace the best it can be. All three of these things require active nurturing - they don't happen automatically. I am proud of the team here at Spirion and the work that we do. 😎

Our internal survey has revealed the truth: it’s not money, benefits, or career. I can’t say for all companies, but it’s the corporate culture that makes people tick. The results we got were not a big surprise for us: Most respondents mentioned the total absence of discrimination at RISK; The second most popular response was that people trust their managers; Finally, the third thing in common for the majority of interviewees was the opportunity to get help from their superiors. For some teams, it may seem obvious and common, and I salute you for this. But it wasn’t about the responses that struck me the most. For the first time, we got replies from so many members of our organization. What did it say to me? You cannot overestimate the importance of a people-oriented approach in a company today. I’ve learned, again, that my team is the biggest treasure for RISK and me.

A Gallup study revealed that only 36% of employees in the United States feel engaged at work. One way to address this challenge is by providing opportunities for employees to learn and grow within the organization. When employees are engaged in their roles and have opportunities for advancement, they are more likely to stay committed to the company’s mission and goals. Creating a strong team requires listening to your people and giving them a voice to shape our path forward. We are proud to share the results from our recent Pulse survey conducted by the independent firm WTW. These results highlight the progress we are making, fueled by our colleagues' unwavering commitment to our purpose and culture. 🎉 With a very high participation rate, the survey captured the powerful collective voice of our Element family. Key highlights include: ✨ 78% of our people said they enjoy coming to work daily. ✨ 75% would recommend Element as a good place to work. ✨ A 19% improvement in colleagues believing that their managers took meaningful action on feedback from last year’s Your Voice results, our annual global engagement survey. These results highlight the positive team culture cultivated by our dedicated colleagues—a culture grounded in trust, shared goals, and putting people first. While we still have work to do, we're moving in the right direction. Thank you to all our colleagues for their invaluable contributions and your passion and commitment to pursue our mission of #MakingTomorrowSaferThanToday. 🌍 #InOurElement #ColleagueEngagement

Glassdoor is a place where employees go to vent, right? You can’t take it seriously because everyone is just venting there, right? It’s unreliable data, right? Wrong. Employees are more than 3 times as likely to give a positive review on Glassdoor than a negative review. It is a remarkably balanced review platform. Are all of your employees giving negative reviews on Glassdoor? That sounds like a you problem, not a Glassdoor problem.

When our target market was 7M we were average. When our target market was 50,000 we were an INC 5000 Company. When our target market was 7M no one knew us. When our target market was 50,000 we won national awards. When our target market was 7M we had a high employee turnover rate. When our target market was 50,000 we won Boston Business Journal Best Places to Work. The secret to explosive growth is to serve fewer people and serve them at the highest level possible.

Reflecting on the insights from a recently completed employee survey, I've been moved by the depth of our collective journey. These surveys are far more than a tally of experiences; they are a mirror reflecting our shared struggles and the resilience that binds us. This year, honest feedback illuminated the nuanced ways our team's morale intertwines with the world beyond our office doors. The echoes of external pressures - economic fluctuations, political landscapes, and societal shifts - have not just whispered into our lives; they have roared, challenging us to find stability amidst the chaos. As I ponder these revelations, I am struck by the weight of what we carry into our workspace, not just as professionals but as individuals navigating an ever-changing world. Acknowledging these pressures, I am reminded of our shared humanity. While we may not hold the power to reshape the external forces at play, we possess something far more potent: the ability to uplift one another, to foster a haven of support and understanding within the confines of our work. I invite you to join me in this introspective journey, to share your thoughts and suggestions, as we craft a path forward that honors our shared experiences and the external influences that shape them. Your voice is pivotal in sculpting our collective response to these challenges.

My final thought for the year... 💰 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱? 💰 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘦𝘴. Fascinating new Glassdoor research finds that since 2009, investments in employers that score high on Best Places to Work significantly outperform others. 🤑 Over time, the gap in stock performance between BPTW winners and overall stock market is 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹. 🤑 Large US BPTW winners 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦&𝗣 𝟱𝟬𝟬 in 9 of the last 11 years Consistent with other research in this area, there are direct links between those employers who focus on things like culture and employee wellbeing and how they perform financially. Workplace culture can now do a pretty good job at predicting future financial performance; Glassdoor reviews can now almost predict the year ahead for a business. https://lnkd.in/gHRjYtmS
