You’ve hit the nail on the head regarding the importance of genuine anonymity in employee feedback! Creating a secure environment for honest communication is essential, especially in addressing staff turnover. Your Confidential Staff Retention Audit sounds valuable for organisations looking to understand and improve their workplace culture. Clare Davis ✨ People Continuity Expert ✨
I agree this has always been an issue, especially in large organisations where they ask questions such as length of service and your pay grade - even without your name, they can find you if they are inclined to do so. Therefore, your work is really powerful in allowing the truth to be spoken,
The truth can hurt. It can also enable employers make better decisions to get the conditions right to keep their talent. If the complaints are acted upon then employees feel heard. These all seem like excellent trades to me for any progressive organisation.
Many people won't speak up for fear of the repercussions. Feeling safe at work should be a hygiene factor. I remember many moons ago working client side and speaking up about a poorly handled staff situation and actually being promoted for it.
how do you measure the success of your retention audits in fostering a more open and supportive workplace culture?
Oh boy, nothing breaks trust quicker than a broken promise of anonymity .. and it's so important to have people feel safe enough to tell the truth
