To be a present father you’ve got to leave work at work. Give me 2 minutes of your time today to help. As a Dad of two young kids and always working in a high pressure industry I know the struggle. There were far too many nights spent thinking about work rather than truly being present. Here are the top 3 things I do every day that enable me to leave work at work: (# 3 is the most overlooked by Dads I know) 1) Never log out for the day without reviewing my day. - what went well? - what did I accomplish? 2) Create an action list for the next day - sure it’s kind of a “to-do” list but mentally it sounds way better and works for me. 3) TRANSITION from work mode to Dad mode. - ditch the tech and change my environment. - today will be a walk but it can be anything to get you out of being “on” for work. Other strategies I’ll drop in the comments 👇 What helps you be more present with your family after the work day?

Explain it to me like I’m 5. If I have my emails on my phone, and I can answer them, at any time, from anywhere I am in the world, and I have a laptop where I can do more detailed work, at any time, from anywhere in the world… Why do I need to be in an office from 9-5 Monday through Friday? Make it make sense. I didn’t understand it when I was in corporate America, and I don’t understand it now. People are different. We all want to work at different times, and need to be in different places at any given time. If one can get their work done well and on time, what does it matter where they are or when they’re working?

I'm heading for an 8-day workation! Sounds like the 'dream life' right? Well, let me tell you something. 1. Of course, I’ll be working less but the work doesn't magically disappear just because I'm at a different location. 2. I've been putting in 14 hour days for the past one month to ensure these 8 days run smoothly. Building better systems, completing work way ahead of time, scheduling posts – you name it, I've been on it. 3. Let's not forget the cherry on top, we're onboarding around 5 clients this week. This means ensuring everything runs like clockwork. I wanted to lay it all out here so that when you see me flaunting those workation pics in future posts, you know the grind that went into making it happen. P.s: Don’t believe everything you see on the internet because you know only half of the story.

Is Loving Your Job Possible When Your Boss Becomes the Villain? 💼 **I love work (not)**: The paradox of workplace satisfaction – can you relate? 🤔 Let's dive into a *pretty relatable* (and let's be honest, a bit tragic) work experience that reflects the *not-so-great* side of office life. Worl less & do more.. Let's get real for a second. How many times have you caught yourself mindlessly scrolling through emails or attending meetings that feel like a total waste of time. I know I have. But here's the thing - every minute of your work matters. Think about it, you spend a third of your life at work. That's a significant chunk of your precious time. Don't let it go to waste. Every task, every project, every conversation should have purpose. Ask yourself, "Is this truly adding value to my work?" I'm not saying it's easy. We all get bogged down in administrative tasks or stuck in pointless meetings. But it's up to you to take control. Learn to say no to non-essential tasks. Set clear boundaries. Prioritize what truly matters. Remember, every minute counts. Don't let opposition or distractions hold you back. You have the power to make every minute of your work worthwhile. So, take ownership. Stay focused. And watch your productivity and fulfillment soar. What's your strategy for staying focused and making the most of your worktime? Share your tips with me!

I don’t talk about #jobsharing as much as I should. I have been working 60% (three days a week) for almost four years now, as part of a job-share. I have also worked part-time (four days a week) and full-time since having children, so I have a pretty good frame of comparison in terms of work-life balance. As a working parent, I adore the #jobshare model. Unlike working part-time, there is VERY rarely a risk of needing to work on your days off, or be juggling children at the park alongside deadlines. We can manage deadlines, stakeholders and our team together, ensuring coverage 5 days a week in our now senior role. I get to spend a good chunk of uninterrupted time with the kids on my non-working days. I hang out with my toddler and spend time with my older daughter after school, without having to monitor emails. I am very lucky to be able to work in this way, and it works really well for me and my family. I have had two incredible job-share partners over the last four years, Sarah Cotton and Jessica Fell. I have learned so much from both of them and am forever grateful to have been able to work with such smart and savvy powerhouses. The collaboration within a job-share partnership is truly something special. Being able to test ideas, hone strategies and share knowledge makes your work better and sharper, and that sense of working together is hugely fulfilling. Will I job-share forever? I haven’t decided. But I do think that there is something quite incredible about working in this way. 2 brains for the price of 1 (or 1.2). Employers undoubtedly benefit enormously. DMs are open for anyone who wants to ask me more. #jobsharing #flexibleworking #workingparent

I work every day. Because I have to and want to. After a few nice restaurants, holidays and movies, I get bored. This was me with my boy in central London but within 10 minutes all I was thinking about was outreach lol. There's nothing else to do apart from work on something you It wasn’t always this way. At first, it felt like hell on earth. The late nights, the constant grind, the self-doubt. But as the year wraps up, something’s changed. I don’t really treat it like work anymore. It’s getting easier because I’m getting better at my craft. And now? I don’t mind working. I’ll show up for my clients on Sunday, Saturday, or whenever they need me. Why? Because when your clients trust you with their money and time, you owe them your best. They could’ve picked someone else, but they chose you. Don’t take that for granted. Sure, I might take a few days off in the summer, but for now? It’s straight work. Because showing up for your clients isn’t just a job—it’s a responsibility. Keep working. You’ve got this. I'm rooting for you. P.S. If you’re an agency owner looking for a simple, easy-to-follow system to book meetings on LinkedIn, you know what to do: https://lnkd.in/ekREBink.
