According to a letter to the IRS from Senators Warren and Grassley, "some nonprofit hospitals are benefitting from these tax exemptions while shirking their responsibility to provide charity care and engaging in abusive collections practices that harm their patients and communities." The issue of low-quality in-kind donations is a well-known problem in both charity work and disaster response operations. Arizona State University’s Mahyar Eftekhar, an associate professor of supply chain management at the W. P. 🌟 Read about my work with the Office for Students! I wrote a blog for the OfS about my experience of being a member of their Disability in Higher Education Advisory Panel. One of the things I love the most about working in policy is having the opportunity to help others see the bigger picture, and the panel is doing just that. The HE sector has a long way to go to be truly inclusive for disabled students - as a panel we have been looking at how the necessary improvements might be achieved. #UnlockingEducation #InclusiveEducation
