𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀. Industry charity Ben is once again bringing festive relief to automotive families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis through its Christmas Families Project. The initiative helps families facing difficult choices about essentials like heating, food, and the possibility of affording Christmas gifts. Launched in December 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, the project provides crucial support such as keeping families housed, ensuring access to heating, and putting food on tables. Importantly, it also helps parents bring joy to their children by covering the cost of Christmas gifts and festive meals. The Christmas Families Project is part of Ben’s wider mission to support thousands of individuals across the automotive sector each year. The charity’s assistance extends beyond the holiday season, offering year-round support to automotive employees and their families during challenging times. https://lnkd.in/eKi3gAfJ #QubeAutomotive #Car #CharityBen #Automotive #Charity #Families #Lifeline #CostOfLivingCrisis #Christmas

Today I wrote to our committed giving supporters and said if you need to take a payment break over Christmas, please get in touch. This is why. 1) People on low incomes are often some of the most generous (proportionate to the % of their income they donate). They also feel the pinch more with energy costs, food prices, not to mention financial pressures around Christmas. 2) Our Golden Paw Club is about lots of people giving a little to make a big difference. That is why it starts at £5 a month. We have enough members to cover a few suspended subscriptions. 3) Our Golden Paw Club members are part of our Dogs 4 Rescue family. I want them to know we are caring and approachable whatever their circumstance. 4) I understand they have families too and that Christmas is an expensive time of year. Especially those with young children and elderly relatives. 5) I will continue to send them their monthly newsletters because I firmly believe they will come back to us when the time is right. 6) I believe we will cover the funds with new members who can afford to sign up or a kind donation from someone who values our approach. 7) I'm not interested in exploiting our supporter base for every penny, I'm focused on building a bigger community and long-term relationships which go beyond just asking for donations. Might I be wrong and live to regret the email? Possibly. But we have always done things differently and followed our hearts. And this felt like the right thing to do. dogs4rescue.co.uk

Bullying... it takes place in the boardroom and often starts in the classroom. It is never OK, and it is way too prevalent! That is why I'm so grateful to serve as a board member of Unleash Love. We are getting upstream to stop bullying by promoting character development through experience and storytelling. Check out the post below as one way to get involved and join me in eradicating bullying. Let's give every person the dignity they deserve! https://lnkd.in/gAeghgfK

To my business friends and partners, please consider donating to this cause. City Gospel Mission WhizKids will distribute Christmas baskets to 700 at-risk children this year. They would love to include "Louie's Little Legs and The Joy of Christmas" book. Unleash Love is asking for donations to show these children some Louie Love and provide 700 books in time for Christmas. Our Christmas book is filled with mystery and festive cheer. Louie’s little legs take him on an unforgettable journey to understand the true meaning of Christmas. We started a GoFundMe page to share this cause globally. Donations will cover the print cost of this beautifully illustrated hardback book and shipping fees to send the books directly to City Gospel WhizKids. Click Here to Donate:

Monetary donations are always welcome and appreciated but the Novato Mothers Club would like to remind you that #GivingTuesday is about more than money. It is your generosity in action: - GIVE Time (volunteer, call or visit with a relative or friend you haven't seen or talked to in awhile) - GIVE Gratitude (say thank you with a letter to someone who's helped you or mentored you, leave treats for your delivery persons this holiday package season) - GIVE Support (donate blankets and essential kits to the homeless, or adopt a family for the season) - GIVE Blood - GIVE Nourishment (donate to your local food pantry, deliver your garden vegetables to a neighbor or friend, bring a meal to a new Mom, an elder, or a sick friend) - GIVE Kindness - GIVE your Skills (Teach a free class, use your talents to help a nonprofit like NMC, or just teach friends that could benefit from your hidden skills) - GIVE back to the Earth (plant a tree or approved flowers in your neighborhood, pickup trash during your daily walk, or clean up a nearby beach) - GIVE your Voice (post about your favorite cause, contact your elected officials on an important matter to you, write a review for a loved business)

The holidays are a time to reflect, give back, and make a difference—and we’re in the final stretch of supporting Firefly Children & Family Alliance’s Hope for the Holidays campaign. At Trustpointe, we’ve made it a tradition to fill our donation box with contributions from clients, neighbors, and friends to help families in need. Last year, this program brought joy to over 1,200 children, but there’s still work to do. 𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟱𝟳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: 1. For a hard-working family struggling to make ends meet, a $150 donation can make a world of difference. With bills piling up and tight finances, the cost of turning the electricity back on may feel impossible, leaving them without the ability to do basic tasks like laundry. Without power, they are forced to rely on a laundromat—an added expense that can quickly add up, especially when transportation costs, paying for each load, and taking time off work become additional burdens. The inconvenience of hauling bags of laundry, waiting for machines, and managing the unpredictable costs places even more stress on an already overwhelmed family. With the help of a $150 donation, their electricity can be restored, allowing them to do laundry at home—eliminating the ongoing costs and stress of the laundromat. This small gesture brings not only the practical benefit of clean clothes but also a sense of relief, dignity, and the chance to regain some stability in their lives. --- To support the Compass mission during Give Where You Live 2024, check out the following steps! ONLINE: visit https://lnkd.in/gm5A8snJ to donate by midnight on December 5th, 2024 CHECK OR IN-PERSON: Send or deliver your gift to Compass (514 W. 11th St., Kearney, NE 68845) *Checks should be made out to Kearney Area Community Foundation in the memo. In-person donations must arrive at the Compass office by 5pm on December 5th, 2024*
