Introducing Nemo! Brisbane Racing Club's very first off-the-track thoroughbred. Thanks to the generosity of BRC Members, we have taken part in sponsoring retired racehorse, Nemo, through the funds raised from a Saddle Cloth Auction held on Sky Racing Guineas Raceday. The saddle cloth initiative also honoured BRC Members by proudly displaying their names on the cloths used in Race 5 during Sky Racing Guineas Raceday. After a racing career in New South Wales and Hong Kong, Nemo is on a new adventure in Mount Samson with Life with Horses, where he will play an important role in supporting therapeutic programs. We are excited to share in Nemo’s journey with our BRC Members and the wider BRC community.

We sponsor the RRP Silent Auction to value retired Thoroughbreds beyond the racetrack. This week, the Thoroughbred Makeover is in full swing in Lexington, where talented horses are showing the world their versatility beyond racing. It’s not just about the competitions, though, it’s about the future these horses have once their racing careers are over. Our stable, Thor-Bred Stables LLC, is proud to sponsor the Retired Racehorse Project Silent Auction because we believe in the importance of valuing retired Thoroughbreds enough to give them a meaningful second career. Our motivation is simple: we want to see these horses retire sound, find their next partner, and enjoy long, happy lives. Too often, a Thoroughbred’s journey ends without the care and attention they deserve. The Silent Auction is more than just an event, it’s a way to create a market where Thoroughbreds are valued for their potential beyond racing. When we support initiatives like this, we help drive the change needed to ensure that these athletes are treated as more than just racehorses; they become cherished partners in new disciplines. The Thoroughbred Makeover competition is underway, featuring a variety of events that showcase the incredible talent of these retired racehorses, from Dressage to Barrel Racing, Eventing to Polo. Visit the Silent Auction, there’s something for everyone, and every bid goes toward a brighter future for retired Thoroughbreds: https://lnkd.in/gYXS-DNY. Your support helps create a lasting impact. Let’s work together to ensure these horses have the opportunity to thrive long after their racing days are over.

Throughout 2024, Story10 has worked with DP World and 160over90 to promote DP World's initiatives that drive innovation by producing engaging content and distributing it across our global distribution network of 700+ broadcast and 8,500+ digital and social channels. Our most recent story covered HABIB THE HARRIS HAWK, the latest innovative way used by DP World to hunt down golf balls for its 'Second Life Container Initiative', which has collected over 350,000 lost golf balls to support grassroots golf programs globally over the past three years. From UV torch hunts led by Jasmine "The Jazzy Golfer" to innovative efforts like Habib the Harris Hawk retrieving balls, the program continues to reduce waste and promote golf, with campaigns like ‘Balls for Birdies’ donating 65,000+ balls linked to birdies and eagles shot during the season. This year we also covered DP World's 'Beyond Boundaries' initiative aimed at empowering communities through improved access to cricket, with Sachin Tendulkar distributing cricket kits across New York, we also covered Golfer Tommy Fleetwood and F1 driver Lando Norris as they enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the 'DP World Driver vs Driver GP'. UTS50 (well it should be 58) Completed! I managed to finish the race in just under 11 hours and can confirm it was by far the hardest one I have done to date – most of the second half was spent regretting signing up and currently I can only walk downstairs one step at a time 😃. That said, now the dust has settled I am back on track reviewing what went wrong/right and starting to plan future races (maybe the 100k race next year?). Many thanks for those who have sponsored me we have raised over £1,700 towards a really important cause. https://lnkd.in/dC6FF9y9 Few takeaways: 1) Plan you're own water strategy rather than opting for the minimum allowed - 1l of fluid for 3.5 hours and 1000m climbing was never enough 2) Be flexible with eating - I had divided supplies into phases and didn't flex this when a phase took twice as long as I planned 3) If it's hot (and it was) utilise the streams as often as possible to wet your body 4) Just keep moving at all time 5) If there is a bull on your path jump the fence into the bulls field 6) Don't complain too much if you are already planning to do the 100k version next year 🤣

66 Questions with the F1 Pit Crew (23+43 😉) Imagine a pit crew... answering the fan questions about their work while putting together a damaged F1 car. And in the end, the kids win! How? 🎥 Our hero, the team leader, opens the Christmas decorated factory door as if giving a classic Vogue home interview, answers the fans' questions as he/she goes to the team, and the team in the back, wearing disco ball-themed helmets and ready to rock, collecting the damaged and unusable car during the races. 🤔 So why is the team putting together the damaged car? 👉 This car will be auctioned on 🎄 New Year's Eve and will be sold either in single pieces or in its assembled state, and all the income will be donated to one or more selected karting locations. 🏎️ Families who are financially disadvantaged will be able to use this donation to cover the costs of equipment etc. that their children will need to continue competing. 💜 Gains: ✨ Team will show that they listen to the fans by answering the questions they are most curious about. ✨ They will show the efforts of the pit crew. ✨ Instead of throwing away the parts that will not be used, team will donate and support the future of the children of families in need. I think Williams Racing would be a great fit for this kind of entertaining, fan-focused content. 👀 Which other team do you think can pull off this kind of content? Sometimes clubs are managed poorly, and struggle to survive, but here is a good club, with a good history, unable to get on with their landlords. If you are a sailing lawyer and might be able to help, then get in touch with them and offer your services. If you love sailing, and believe others should do too then perhaps put a few pounds into their campaign. If you work in the industry, and want an industry to be thriving, then make a corporate size donation - this way we can ensure our customers now and in the future will still be customers. More £££ = better hope of a positive outcome. https://lnkd.in/evKGmmmF

Grassroots Rugby: A Lesson in Teamwork, Growth, and Making Dreams Happen Grassroots rugby isn’t just about the game—it’s about people. It’s about resilience, teamwork, and the shared effort to achieve something greater than ourselves. Right now, the U16 girls’ rugby team from Campania, Italy, is living proof of this. They’re working tirelessly to raise funds for a dream trip to the UK, where they’ll train, learn, and grow as players and individuals. What stands out is how they’re going about it: through sheer hard work and community spirit. From selling raffle tickets to rallying local support, they’re showing that when people pull together, big goals become achievable. To support them, we’re hosting a raffle at NOSRFC, with a unique prize: a signed game shirt from Italian flanker Ilaria Arrighetti. This effort isn’t just about raising money; it’s a powerful example of what we can accomplish with a team approach to problem-solving. It aligns perfectly with principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and the SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals) and people development—creating opportunities, building connections, and inspiring future leaders. In rugby, as in business and life, teaching and supporting others doesn’t just help them grow; it deepens our own understanding and strengthens the entire team. When we take what we’ve learned and share it, we foster a culture of continuous improvement that benefits everyone involved. If you’d like to learn more or support this fantastic cause, you can find their story here: 🏉 Rugby Campania GoFundMe. Every small action contributes to something bigger, turning challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality. Grassroots rugby teaches us that success is a team effort. And when we invest in people, everyone wins. #GrassrootsRugby, #Teamwork, #CommunityImpact #ESG, #17worldgoals, #SDGs, #NOSRFC, #Finchleyrugbyclub

Supporting Innovation: My Friend Markus Steinke’s Revolutionary Ski Binding This is a private post to support my good friend Markus Steinke and his groundbreaking ski binding project with 5ive_sports. Markus, a passionate skier and visionary inventor, has poured his heart and soul into creating a ski binding that is nothing short of revolutionary. At just 350 grams, this innovative binding combines the best of both worlds: the efficiency and lightweight design essential for ski touring, and the robustness needed for freeride descents. Unlike traditional bindings, which often force skiers to choose between weight and performance, Markus’s design makes no compromises. It’s a game-changer for all mountain adventurers, and I couldn’t be more proud of him. I’ve known Markus for years, and his enthusiasm for skiing and engineering has always stood out. His journey with 5ive_sports showcases not only his inventive spirit but also his commitment to improving the sport he loves. He has spent countless hours perfecting this binding, ensuring it meets the needs of skiers who demand lightweight gear without sacrificing safety or reliability. Now, Markus is ready to share his creation with the world, but he needs your support. He has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to bring this innovative binding to market. This is an incredible opportunity to back a project that has the potential to redefine skiing gear. By supporting Markus, you’re not just funding a product—you’re championing the passion and dedication of someone who truly lives for innovation and adventure. Please visit his Kickstarter page, learn more about this revolutionary binding, and consider contributing. Every bit helps to make this vision a reality. Let’s support this incredible project together and help Markus take skiing to the next level! https://lnkd.in/d8dJaaEY Hashtags: #5iveSports #SkiBinding #LightweightGear #SkiInnovation #TouringBinding #FreerideBinding #350GramBinding #KickstarterProject #CrowdfundingSupport #SkiLife #MountainAdventure #BackcountrySkiing #FreerideSkiing #TouringSkis #GameChanger #RevolutionInSkiing #SkiPassion #SkiTechnology #SkiGear #MountainSports #InnovativeGear #SkiingAdventure #SkiCommunity #PassionForSkiing #SupportInnovation #GearUp #LightAndStrong #OffPisteSkiing #SkiTouring #SupportMyFriend
