UTS50 (well it should be 58) Completed! I managed to finish the race in just under 11 hours and can confirm it was by far the hardest one I have done to date – most of the second half was spent regretting signing up and currently I can only walk downstairs one step at a time 😃. That said, now the dust has settled I am back on track reviewing what went wrong/right and starting to plan future races (maybe the 100k race next year?). Many thanks for those who have sponsored me we have raised over £1,700 towards a really important cause. https://lnkd.in/dC6FF9y9 Few takeaways: 1) Plan you're own water strategy rather than opting for the minimum allowed - 1l of fluid for 3.5 hours and 1000m climbing was never enough 2) Be flexible with eating - I had divided supplies into phases and didn't flex this when a phase took twice as long as I planned 3) If it's hot (and it was) utilise the streams as often as possible to wet your body 4) Just keep moving at all time 5) If there is a bull on your path jump the fence into the bulls field 6) Don't complain too much if you are already planning to do the 100k version next year 🤣
Well done mate, this is crazy. I struggle with 15k 😂
