The buyers were directed to us thanks to Veerman Asset Management's continued success in selling new construction multifamily properties over the past 2+ years. They were in a unique 1033 exchange—a variation of the 1031 exchange, utilizing insurance proceeds rather than asset sales. The Doma marks the 12th post-2010 property that Veerman Asset Management has sold since we opened our doors in 2022. As returns on risk-free investments decline, we foresee increased capital allocation toward alternative investment vehicles.
