Air Canada’s Post

Starting in May 2025, Aeroplan Members will receive fast, free Wi-Fi, sponsored by Bell. Our flights throughout North America and sun destinations will be first to receive this complimentary service, with long-haul international flights planned to be added in 2026. More: https://lnkd.in/g5sPM5ez

Ah, the perks of modern travel… Fast, free Wi-Fi is great for staying connected, but I can already hear the symphony of clanging keyboards and see the sea of faces glued to screens. 😅 While it’s fantastic for those who need to be online, I can’t help but wonder if it’ll come at the cost of peace and quiet for passengers not using the Wi-Fi. The days of just staring out the window or striking up a conversation with your seatmate might become a thing of the past. Sigh. 🛫📱 Let’s hope there’s still room for a little unplugged serenity amidst all the connectivity! #ModernTravel #FreeWiFi #TechOverload #UnpluggedSerenity #AirplaneEtiquette #QuietPlease #DigitalDetox #ScreenFatigue #TravelLife #PeaceAndQuiet #HittingThePauseButton #TravelPerks

In 2016 they used to offer free wifi to Aeroplan Elite and Super Elite. I found that it wasn’t worth the effort as wifi would be in and out. I tried to finish a report on my way back from Europe and gave up after a few tries. Hope it’s better now, or at least it should be.

It’s nice to get work done while flying, especially during week hours when others are online, rather than trying to catch up after the flight and after hours. The problem is that the WiFi only works on about 50% of the flights that it’s supposed to be available on. Even after paying $20 fo access it, if still doesn’t work properly half the time.

Instead of free Wifi , I’d like many thousands upon thousands of aeroplan miles back that you conveniently cancelled years ago, my family and I earned those miles.

As a loyal Aeroplan member, I’m thrilled about Air Canada’s fast, free Wi-Fi rollout. Staying connected, even on regional flights, is a game-changer. Yet another reason I’m proud to fly with Air Canada!

Good to see another airline jumping on board with wifi service as Porter (Viasat) and WestJet (StarLink) already have. Yikes to Bell though. Can’t even get service right for rural residential customers (or customers in general), let’s see how their inflight internet plays out. 🤔

We booked and paid for our airfare to Orlando for Jan 18, 2025. Carry on was included at the time. Are we going to be compensated for the false advertising to line pockets??
