🎄 As the countdown to Christmas accelerates, it's easy to get swept up in the holiday frenzy. Have we bought all the gifts? Is the food planned? Are the decorations perfect? 🎁 STOP. This year, let's shift our focus. Don’t feel pressured to meet every holiday ideal or checklist. Instead, create a new tradition—one that follows your rules. Make it a priority to be present and to practice gratitude. If the year hasn't been perfect, take a deep breath. It’s okay. Sometimes, the best gift we can give ourselves and others is simply to be. You can find more tips on how to achieve this on our blog at https://lnkd.in/dX5np9YQ. On behalf of Jennie and Penelope at The Informed Perspective we wish you all a peaceful holiday season! 🌟

You must do this today to avoid looking like Santa in the new year And I do mean bulging out of your bright red pants after fighting like Connor McGregor to get them on in the first place Because this is way better than any festive cranberry sauce it's Shaun's Secret Sauce and it has been used with my clients every festive season to great effect and today I'm gifting it to you You see most of you this time of year have a panic attack because you think there are only two ways to deal with the Christmas Chaos Restrict yourself of any fun and retreat to Mount Crumpit to wallow in self loathing or You turn into August Gloop and eat everything in sight having to be rolled out the house on the 27th for the family walk But you know there is a 3rd option right? Welcome to the; “The Christmas Calendar” Ok sorry it's not got a cool name (I can't do everything) And no it doesn't come with 25 delicious Christmas shaped chocolate Here is what I need you to do; 1️⃣ Get your calendar out for December 2️⃣ Mark down all the events you have from meals out to day out activities 3️⃣ Now write down if this will be; - A Day Off – Ideal for a Day Out or Xmas Day - Maintenance day – Ideal for a meal out only day - A calorie deficit - No plans or even when you have a meal out Now you may have a little less overwhelm as you should see more deficit days than days off And if not it won’t take much to tweak to ensure you keep on track It’s kind of what I DO This is just the basics of it and if you’d love to learn a little more then Comment the word CALENDAR as we can talk a little more specifically about you P.S you can catch my little youtube video about it here; https://lnkd.in/e2GnMWxA

Christmas, Chaos, and Clarity – Redefining the Festive Season Post 1: The Christmas Compass – Finding Your True North Christmas often feels like being caught in a blizzard of expectations. Should you say yes to every invitation? Buy the latest must-have toys? Be the “perfect” host? The truth is, you can’t steer through the season without knowing your true north—what matters most to you. The festive season has a way of pulling us into other people’s priorities. It might be the in-laws insisting on traditions that don’t feel meaningful to you or the pressure to keep up with picture-perfect social media posts. Over time, we lose sight of what makes Christmas ours. Think of your values as a compass. They guide decisions that align with who you are. Is connection more important than gifts? Is simplicity what you crave? When you use these as your guide, you’re less likely to feel overwhelmed by others’ expectations. Coaching Activity: Define Your Festive Values Write down three things that make Christmas meaningful for you. Is it quality time with family? Acts of kindness? A sense of calm? Use these values to filter your decisions—say yes to what aligns, and gracefully decline the rest. #values #christmas #priorities #coaching

✨ Is it all about the presents - Really? Maybe the most precious gift you have to offer - is your time, deep care & your presence?? #SundayMorningMusings #79 Christmas is a time of the year, when it’s so easy to get caught up in the commercial aspect of feeling like we need to buy presents for everyone ‘& their dog’, the buzz, the parties, rich food & way too much alcohol! It’s so easy to get ‘lost’ & ‘wrapped up’ in the hype, that we forget the biggest present we can offer is our literal presence & deep care for those that need it. Whilst I will enjoy all the buzz and I especially enjoy the parties, my bigger priority is to cherish & spoil our loved one’s AND most importantly - to really BE with our special people. After that - it has to be about creating some space to reflect on the year, to rest, restore and replenish. So if anyone asks me - have I done all my Christmas shopping - the answer is NO. I am, instead, being very thoughtful about making sure our loved ones know how special & dear they are to us AND carving out quality time for me, and for US. And let's keep in our awareness - those that don't have the opportunity of a safe, warm place to put their head - that can't rely on living within a good hearted community - and perhaps even fear for their life. Let's also hold a space for them in our hearts, this Christmas. ? What about you? ? How are you intending to keep things in balance this holiday period? #beingfullypresent is the real gift #SundayMorningMusings
