I vividly remember my first day, meeting an incredible team, and experiencing an onboarding process that truly set the stage for success. These values have not only shaped my professional growth but also redefined how I contribute to the tech industry. It's Saturday! 🌟 What did you learn from your week? I guess it was stressful... well, mine too, but we move! 💪 The journey of a Business Development Representative (BDR)/Sales Development Representative (SDR) is filled with both highs and lows. There are days when it feels like you're knocking on every door, and no one is answering. The struggle to achieve a deal can be daunting, and it's easy to feel discouraged. But here's the thing—failures are not the end; they are stepping stones. 🚪💪 In this role, you have to be fine with hearing "no" more times than you'd like. It's about building resilience and understanding that every rejection brings you one step closer to a "yes." The key is to learn from each experience and keep pushing forward, knowing that your toil will eventually yield positive feedback. 🌱 At BitHub Works Inc., we understand the importance of persistence and patience. Despite my decision to step away, it seems there are some who prefer to cast shadows over my name and cause unnecessary drama. Leaving behind six years of dedication, assets, and investments wasn't easy, but it was a choice I made to move forward. Yet, there are those who can't seem to let go. Their actions come from a place of envy, jealousy, and insecurity, seeking to undermine the success of others. In my 15 years in this industry, I've always aimed to leave on good terms, cherishing the relationships I've built along the way. So, I ask you, my friends, colleagues, and connections, to distance yourselves from DDevOps' social media presence, which I once encouraged you to follow. Time for another DevRel rant: DevRel folks should speak less. There was a time when constantly traveling and speaking at events was basically the job. This isn't sustainable or healthy, and I don't mean in terms of you, Mr/Ms/Mx DevRel person. Its not healthy or sustainable for your company or the tech communities you're involved in. We're already seeing layoffs in the industry as a correction for this. We're seeing backlash from community events as more of the content schedule is filled with DevRel folks. And I know of several events that have unpublished rules around *not* accepting DevRel talks. To be quite honest, a lot of the backlash and layoffs are deserved. One thing every DevRel person should consider is: Am I the right person to tell this story or educate people about this topic? I think a lot of us default to answering "yes", but often we aren't. We just happen to be available, good at speaking, and willing to travel. I'd wager that most times, the right person to tell the story isn't going to be a DevRel, but an engineer at your company, a customer, or a community member. DevRel becomes much more sustainable when you can figure out how to enable those people to get on stage. Tech communities are healthier when you can find ways to help those voices be heard, rather than your own. Ultimately, DevRel's future success is in enabling others, not just for doing tech things, but also for education.

How do we simulate the chaos of a real-world hiring event at Ovii? During our previous event, our server held up—technically, it didn’t crash. But what we did see was complete chaos: candidates submitting code, answering questions, and completing assessments all at once, with no predictable flow. 😳 The chaos was a huge learning moment for us. We realized that just surviving load spikes isn’t enough; we need to replicate the unpredictability and randomness of actual hiring events. So, we evolved our testing approach: We started by carefully handling tokens and ensuring each candidate's session was unique. We staggered submissions to simulate real-world behaviors, where users submit at different times, with no fixed pattern. We created a test that mirrors the real flow of event-based hiring, where multiple-choice questions, coding answers, and final submissions happen at different rates. 🚀 The result?
