Thanks to your generosity this Giving Tuesday, we’re building brighter futures for children and families across the Bay Area. Because of you, more kids like Emily and young leaders like Yareli will have the opportunity to thrive. After enduring six surgeries, Emily found a safe space at the Y’s Reach & Rise mentoring program, where she built confidence and learned to express herself. Her relationship with her mom, Nuria, grew stronger too. This Giving Tuesday you can help more families thrive. For years, Yareli was afraid of the water. But through the Y’s Aquatics Workforce Development Pathway Program, she overcame her fear and is now a certified lifeguard, teaching swim lessons at the Chinatown Y. This Giving Tuesday, your gift helps create pathways for success just like Yareli’s. Give today: https://lnkd.in/gzdJwVwV #GivingTuesday #YMCASF #WorkforceDevelopment

"Our annual event is an opportunity to build bridges and reach across the table around cross-cultural, age, and gender connections that speaks to who we are as individuals and allows us to be able to build community with each other. This space is nothing but love and I believe that really speaks to our 2030 Vision.” –Tacing Parker Read more about Bayview YMCA's turkey giveaway and family event, and learn about how you can support our Family Resource Centers during the holidays: https://lnkd.in/g-7qK2mA #YMCASF #YGSF #Thanksgiving #HolidaySeason #CommunityGathering

At the YMCA of Greater San Francisco, we’re committed to fostering a culture of Being, Belonging, and Becoming for all our staff as part of our 2030 Vision and equity efforts. Last week, we hosted our first-ever all-staff symposium, “ToGather,” where staff came together for meaningful development, engaging workshops, and fun activities celebrating our shared mission. Through events like this, we strengthen our sense of community and deepen our commitment to building healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities for all generations.

Look at our family and community reunion! Thank you to our partners Waymo E-Sports, Brown & Cadwell, MWH Webcor, and Phi Beta Sigma volunteers for volunteering, Y staff and volunteers, Primed & Prepped youth, and community members for coming together for Bayview YMCA's 11th Annual Turkey Giveaway and Family Event. We are thankful for all the support provided into making this gathering fun, festive, and full of turkeys. We are also thankful for all volunteers and staff who showed up early to prepare food and groceries and serve our community and their families. As the holidays are approaching, we celebrate the importance of what it means to Be, Belong, and Become by coming together to continue building healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities for all generations. Thank you to everyone who participated with us and an extra special thanks to the Bayview team! Can't wait to see you next year. #YMCASF #YGSF #Holidays #Thanksgiving #Waymo #ESports #SF
