Happy 2025! May it sparkle brightly and remind us of all the ways we are reflected in the world we inhabit, to keep us working for good.

About us
Trunk Branch Twig Bud is a capital facility planning firm that works with public and non-profit entities to solve challenges tied to their buildings. Trunk Branch Twig Bud staff collaborate closely with state and municipal governments to develop and implement plans for the buildings that house their services to adapt to changes in operations, needs, and building requirements. "Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men's blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans; aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will never die, but long after we are gone will be a living thing, asserting itself with ever-growing insistency. Remember that our sons and grandsons are going to do things that would stagger us. Let your watchword be order and your beacon beauty." (Daniel Burnham)

Happy winter solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere! Shortest day, longest night. An axis, pivot point, hinge. I took this picture at about 6:45 am yesterday. Our Baltimore skyline isn't as dark as some, and the shot was blurred by a long exposure mixed with shaky cold hands, but I wanted to preserve the moment. What changes will come on the other side? How will we respond to those we don't control? How much can we shape what comes, through actions or attitude? One is certain. Our days will be a little bit longer...at least, until June.

What's up, LinkedIn folks!!!???? Today I didn't break ground, start a new project, or score a big win. What I did was show up for my clients in ways that will matter down the road. That means I cleaned data, reviewed documents, had a cup of chai, transferred knowledge and ideas from one group to another, asked good questions, and tackled problems with positive energy with my teammates. I attended meetings and answered questions. I did the work. Behind every huge win are hundreds of ordinary days like this one, and these days are what make all the big wins possible. Here's to the ordinary days!
