Unveiling the portrait of the Union League's 73rd President Harry E. Hill III Recently, we held an event to honor the tenure of the 73rd President of the Union League, Harry E. Hill III. This work of art, created by David Larned, captures President Hill in his preferred setting - the Library, a cherished space within the League House. "I’ve had the good fortune to call Harry a friend for over 20 years. I have always admired his enthusiasm, ambition and good cheer. But what I admire most is his hair. The guy has really great hair. I know this because I’ve painted it twice. In fact the only person I’ve painted more than Harry is my daughter. Harry is an absolute delight to work with and I am already looking forward to his next portrait. At which point I will probably have no hair and Harry's will still be glorious," says Larned. We invite you to view this portrait, which will be on display in the hallway near the Broad Street entrance.
