🚨𝗗𝗨𝗜 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛🚨 On December 30, 2024, at 2:43 a.m., #teamHCSO deputies responded to a severe two-vehicle crash on Waters Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a man pinned inside his Dodge Ram truck, which had collided with a tree. The investigation revealed that Howard Cruz Denis, 33, who was driving westbound on Waters Avenue, rear-ended the victim's truck at a high rate of speed, pushing it into the tree. Cruz Denis showed signs of impairment, and a DUI investigation was conducted. The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious lower leg injuries but is in stable condition and expected to recover. Cruz Denis was arrested and charged with DUI with Serious Bodily Injury. "This crash is a stark reminder of the dangers of impaired driving," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Driving under the influence is a choice that puts lives at risk. We are thankful the victim is expected to recover, and we urge everyone to make responsible decisions to keep our roads safe."
