Founder of the Nonprofit Birthday Bash Box | Passionate About Celebrating Life✨

I gave a presentation on Standard Operating Practices to the Houston cohort of the Texas Woman’s University Center for Women Entrepreneurs AccelerateHER Program. SOPs are a topic I’m passionate about because systems and processes are essential to the success of any organization. Having strong systems in place is the foundation businesses need to operate efficiently, scale and grow. It was such a rewarding experience to share insights, answer questions and help others see how streamlined processes can drive greater impact. A huge thank you to Kymberly Nielsen and Sharita M. Humphrey for inviting me to speak to the cohort. This experience meant so much because just last year, I was part of the same program. My classmates would often tell me, “You should be teaching business somewhere” …so I finally did! This presentation reminded me how much I enjoy creating, organizing and sharing knowledge. As I look ahead to 2025, I’m excited to work on more presentations, dive deeper into leadership topics and continue growing as a speaker and professional. To those with experience in speaking or presenting, what tips would you share for becoming a better presenter? I’d love to learn from your experiences! And a special shout-out to the amazing women in the cohort. I truly enjoyed sharing my love of systems and processes with you! Kaylon Beck, MBA, Jha Allen, Jaz Armstrong, Nguyen Tran, and Sena Pierre.

  • Just a friendly reminder as to why your one relative that has lived alone for years may be a little off - our brains aren't meant for social isolation. 🧠The white matter in our brains will decrease causing loss in memory and verbal fluency. 😶🌫️So if you're feeling a little foggy, might want to schedule a lunch date with a friend, a group exercise class or get a day pass at Sesh. Day passes found here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g9t_5VE9

  • Just another way to demonstrate the opportunities that come with not just being a member of a community like Sesh or the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, but with sharing space in which people are acknowledged, cared for, and celebrated. It's transformational because you can feel and breathe in the happiness that is in the air. We were beyond honored to host this luncheon in which a 100 THOUSAND DOLLARS in grants were handed out! 😃

Today was absolutely AMAZING! When you get to give away $100,000 in grants to support LGBTQ+ and Allied owned restaurants…well it’s an AMAZING day! The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and Grubhub gave away grants, through the Grubhub Community Impact Fund, to 15 restaurants for $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 grants totaling $100k. We are grateful to the NGLCC and Grubhub for this incredible program. It’s the third year of partnership and making a huge impact for our community and the local economy. Our Chamber Team and Board offer our congratulations to all of the grantees!
